Just a minor heads up. The last couple days I randomly see the following error when clicking on forum links. Just thought I would pass it along. Thanks.

An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later.

I see it most when clicking on the "Forums" link at the top (illustrated below), though believe I've seen it elsewhere. Thanks. :)

Hey James, Yeah It has happened to me too, click over the forums and it get
that error message. Then if I go to 'home' the link kicks in. Not the error message.
Not a big deal but it has happened to me too. More than one time

Same here, I sometimes use my cellphone to post here, and I also get the error when I click on the "forums" link, and sometimes the error persists after trying again, so I just come back again to the forum after a while.

Had trouble posting. To the logo design thread. Not sure what went wrong, tried
to post three times. But it seems I can post to this thread. Curious.
anyway to James, re logos and shirts, I like the lower level better of the choices but
they do look pretty credible. Good work, nicely done.

You couldn't post in that thread at all? What was the error message if you were getting one at all?

Sorry I am only going from memory but it said I think random error.
Tried to post again, same deal.
But then I posted on this thread. And then tried another different thread,
the one re heater on bike. error again.
So I will see if this one works.

I think this is still an issue with the front end add on. I might disable it for a few days. That would put everyone in the forum section when they land on the site. Then I can see for sure if that is doing it. Then I need to try to correct it.

Has anyone exparianced any errors in the last two days? I removed all add ons and now have just 5 or 6 on. Every so often I turn things back on. It could be an add on that is causing it so I'm trying to narrow it down. So far it has been good since I turned it all off and then turned these ones back on so that is good news.

It has been working good for me so I turned on two more add ons last night. Well just a few minutes ago I had an error when posting. I didn't write down them down but I'm pretty sure I know which ones I turned on so I turned them off again. I will wait a bit to see if anyone including myself gets a error when posting. If so then it is one of those two. I might be getting closer to what is causing this.

From my end, I don't experience any errors anymore, so it's like those add-ons are really the culprit?

Thanks. I will turn one on tonight for a bit and try to find out which one it is.

I had the error for the first time in a while today. I removed the last add on I reinstalled and will try that. I also installed a new feature that will save your post for that thread automatically. What I have found if you get that error, you can redo it as many times as you like and will get it again and again. If you refresh the page it will work. With this new feature you should not loose long posts like I have. Just refresh the page and then resend it. The post should still be there.

I haven't encountered that error for quite a while now. In my case I have encountered it while clicking "Forums". How about you?

Thats when I would get it. I only got it a couple times since removing some mods. The forum software should be getting a nice upgrade in a month or so once it is released. From there I will start adding things back on. Well ones that have been upgraded to work with it.
