... or at least a Ford in the country. ;)

I thought I'd post a few pics of my pickup truck. Its a F150, 2004 model.

Nice truck. What do you have the antenna mounted? The cb looks good mounted in the dash.

Its kind of hard to see in the picture due to the trees, but the antenna is mounted on the tool box on the passenger side. When I took the shot, I had the short antenna rather than the Firestik in place, so its even harder to see.

Ok I do see it now. Thought it was odd that I couldn't find one.

I also have an amateur radio rig (Icom 2m/70cm) currently installed, but I am going to yank it and use it as a basestation in the house. The antenna plug you see on the driver's side box is where the antenna goes for that transceiver.

That's a pretty cool ride, I have a question about the base station at home, how far would the range be with those antennas?

Ham radio? My father in law was into that for years. Talked to people from all over.

Like all radio, its going to vary wildly on the terrain and power levels you're running at. That and with the amateur rig, I can work repeaters for longer range.

Last week, I had four new tires installed (pic below). Changed the oil to full synthetic too. I will be swapping the unbelievably crappy radio/CD player in it early next month too. With the weather clearing, I can finally start working on the vehicles again.

Thats a pretty awesome truck mate, I wish we got things like that over here where I am. The most common truck around here is just a mitsubishi l200.

I have been a long time Toyo fan. I would love to try thr M/T when I get the Jeep. I heard the are heavy but good.

What did you have before the Open Country?

Sorry about that @Rivethead. Your post was showing as a double post so I removed one and it must have just been an error because both are gone.

I tried to bring it back but it was permanently deleted.

No worries about the accidental deletion. Stuff happens.

I too like Toyo and the tire store was running a deal on them, so it made sense. Off the top of my head, I don't recall what I had on this rig before them. It came so equipped when I bought it new-to-me (albeit, very low mileage), so its likely in my records someplace.

I just looked at the picture and I can now clearly see the Toyo Open Country A/T. LOL. Don't know why it didn't seem that way before. I think I was more focused on the tread.

I added your truck to the showcase. It gives members another way to find your thread. Plus you can added details about your truck in that tab. You can also put some of your pics in the showcase gallery. The others you can just add to the thread like you have been.

I went ahead and swapped the AM/FM/CD player with one that is AM/FM/CD/USB. Its rare I listen to physical CDs any more and the skip on the crappy roads out here. Here's a pic of the install:

Nice choice. My work truck (cement mixer) has one. I hated when the truck was down for a month and I had to drive a different truck. It didn't have USB in it. My day was much less enjoyable. And not worrying about music skipping is a nice bonus.

That Ford needs a little wash! haha
But it seems like a fun truck to drive around tough roads. That's what I would do with it!
