The semifinal lineups are ready and one of the four teams will become the world champions. Among the four, I back Holland/Netherlands to win the world cup.

My favorite team is out of the competition but I still have hopes for one team. I wish the big win for Argentina.

I still watch it, even tho my country is out. I'm hoping the Brazilians win, they are the only ''American'' team left in the competition, the rest are European, so of course I have to support Brazil! I'd support Argentina, but I know plenty of them already so...

Rosa, what team were you supporting originally? To be honest I lost some interest after my team won, all that passion and excitment was gone, but Ill still watch the last matches! Hope Brazil beats Germany and Argentina beats Holland.

Without Neymar and Silva it would be difficult for Brazilians to overcome Germans in the semi final.

I was a Spain supporter so when they dropped out I started rooting for Brazil. Now I am almost crushed after the Brazilians took such a beating from Germany. I'm really not sure anymore who will be triumphant, the ball is round so we can only wait to see.

Argentina won against the dutch team today :p I must say both teams fell short, very poor performance. I think the Argentina vs. Germany match will be good, but I have the feeling the Germans might take the big prize home. I'm rooting for Argentina now of course, but if they play like they have been playing then they might not stand a chance.

I didn't watch it very much, I only saw the game with Brazil and then I quickly lost interest.

Yes, overall it was a boring match until the penalty shootouts. I also hope Germans to win this time but it won't be easier.

I'm watching it on and off really. I've no huge interest in it really I must admit, but since I live with a Mexican guy, a Spanish girl, and a girl from Paraguay, the flat gets quite the excited atmosphere about it all, so I get sucked in to it all. Even went ahead and set up my spare desktop as a viewing station in the kitchen, since they were just watching on a little laptop before, so now we sit and watch it together, and invite people over to watch it on our larger screen.

I'm not watching it. I don't like football at all. In my country people like football a lot and most stay up late or wake up really early just to watch it.

I was supporting Netherlands from the beginning but now my hopes of crushed and it was a rough game for us. I think we did our best but when it comes to penalties it's really a gamble. You just never know and I think it's really down to luck. So for me it is a sad time and I think that this is been a really interesting World Cup from. I think that the team to win the World Cup almost likely be Germany. They have outdone themselves in a shown themselves to be a really strong team and off great class. They've played mature game and have shown their skill.

Honestly, I'm sick of it. FIFA, FIFA, FIFA! It's like a certain percentage of the world just goes a little bit mental for a little while. And all the marketers just play into it which means everywhere you look: FIFA, FIFA, FIFA! I'm tired of the Google animations on their search engine, too. Enough already, we get it, there's a ball game going on. YMMV

Your guess was certainly right Trellum. I think more folks were disappointed than elated because Argentina had a bigger fan support. Well, it's over now, until next four years again.

It was really close, Rosa :) I never supported Germany or Argentina, I was more like a spectator. But I must say both teams gave it all! It was an amazing display of speed and skill. The Argentinian team was good, so was the German team. The German team got luckier tho.

I honestly think the FIFA is corrupt. A lot of the matches during this world cup left me thinking that, because it was more than obvious during some of those matches that something was really up.

Yea, I think both themes really gave it their all. I felt bad for Argentina though, not capitalizing on those goals when they got the chance. It just proved that Germany wanted it more so i'm happy for them.

LOL, I know what you mean, I don't really enjoy soccer in genera, but when it comes to the world cup I can stand it, I mean, as long as the matches are exciting everything is ok! Some matches were snoozefests!!!! Like Argentina vs Switzerland! Ugh!!
