Want a Land Rover but want yours to look more, um, noticeable? The 2016 Discovery Sport Dynamic is your jam.

In reality, the Dynamic does nothing more dynamic than add a few paint strokes beyond the current Black Design Package, which darkens the roof, wheels, mirrors, side vents, and badging. Similar to the 250 Launch Edition models, the Dynamic also blacks out the grille, turn signals, taillamps, and license-plate panel. The chin spoiler gets a flush, more aggressive look, with the skid-plate-ish piece painted black instead of silver. The lower rear fascia is the most distinctive alteration, with integrated silver trapezoidal exhaust outlets mixed with body color paint and more gloss black.

Land Rover USA hasn’t specified what colors the Dynamic trim will offer, but the Firenze Red model in Frankfurt has an interior with red paddle shifters, red striping on the rotary gear selector, red metallic trim on the center stack, red piping on the seats, red dash stitching, and chrome pedal trim.

Other new features for 2016 Discovery Sport models include All Terrain Progress Control, an off-road low-speed cruise control that operates at crawling speeds up to 19 mph, and a launch-control feature that isn’t intended to deliver neck-snapping acceleration but rather offer smoother starts on slippery surfaces. Following the lead of Ford and other manufacturers, motion sensors can open and close the power tailgate with a kicking movement underneath the rear bumper. Pricing has yet to be announced.
