    Hey :)

My names Chris, 22 years old from the Southwest of England.

I drive a Honda Civic (1998) and I love it so much. Will post some pictures fairly soon, its been modded but not to the extent some people do it. And I'm proud to say there's not a "JDM" sticker on the car.

    Peace :)

My sisters boyfriend is a mechanic so I've been pretty fortunate in that regard, he normally does a really good job and he knocks off quite a big price because I'm family. I've plasti-dipped it myself and changed the wheels, that's about it. :)

Having a mechanic in the family is a good help, you can get things done and you get to learn as well. :)

Yeah exactly. It's really handy. Plus he's got a mobile work van (Repair guy) so if I ever break down I can get towed for free (I often buy him a case of beer though to say thanks)

I wish I had a friend like that, the auto business is the worse for costumers, or you know what they are talking about or you can easily become a victim of your own ignorance...

    Totally!

Before he was in my family (and teaching me stuff) I had a very basic understanding of the terminology used and could just about change a wheel. Now I feel confident when talking to other people about my car and how it works, I was so impressed when I managed to find and fix a fault with the car, when really the diagnostics machine pretty much did it for me.

I always ask a lot of questions and ask for a budget so that I don't get scammed. Without exageration I've been asked prices twice as much as what I really shoud pay... You aren't in Portugal are you? :)
