Strange looking cops but it was one hell of a kart!

You mean the one that was driving the cart was police? That's weird, I wonder if they use it to chase criminals.

I am not sure...it was a bit confusing! But I love anything that goes fast!

This was awesome. My ten year old watched this and got the kart bug for sure. Of course, there's no way I would let him drive something this crazy fast, but...anyway, thanks for the share. This was a lot of fun.

Seeing a person drive a go kart in a first person angle makes me want to ride one. I've rode one on a track, but wasn't nearly as fun as the one shown above. I take that back, it wasn't fun at all because the track was really small and the go karts didn't really go that fast.

I tried my first time in Oklahoma when I was with my parents moving to California. I think it was faster than my folks '58 DeSoto! Funny how when you get old you can remember silly things like that but can't remember what you had for breakfast just yesterday!

I wonder why go karts haven't really gone mainstream despite it being around for a long time already. Maybe because when you're on a busy road, it's like a possible death sentence if you're riding it! :D

Wow! That kart goes really fast, and that's one strange cop. I want to ride in one someday.

Where do they sell these karts anyway? They don't seem to be available in the mainstream market.

For a full race cart you wouldn't go to a main stream store. It would be something gear toward Karting. I wanted to get into kart racing years ago but I was working some weekends at the time and the races were head on the weekend. I talked to a nice couple that have a mom and pop style kart shop. They told me that I could start off used to see if I really wanted to do it. They also told me to talk to them before buying. They said they would let me know if the one I was looking at would still be competitive. If I did get into it and then at some point went new or needed something I would look to them first. They were great to talk to.

I see, no wonder I have never seen one being sold at any car shops or any vehicle shops. They must be pretty expensive too, especially the ones for professional use. Although in the video that was posted, the go kart looked cheap and a bit of the makeshift type, lol! :roflmao:

Nope I'm sure that is a high end one. That one had a shifter so it isn't cheap. They are pure race machines. A lot of pro race car drivers had their start in karting.

So looks can be deceiving indeed! Because if you compare that go kart to the ones that you see on those F1 racing shoes, the go kart in the video looks quite bare. It needs a bit of improvement in the looks department I guess. ;)

An F1 car is different from a kart if that is what you mean.

Here is a racing kart I found online. [IMG]
