Rebellion R2K: Gallardo-Powered LMP-esque Thingy Bombs *Up* a Ski Slope

    Travis Pastrana started on dirt bikes. Ken Block began on skateboards. Jon Olsson made his bones on skis and then found himself increasingly enamored of driving cars on tracks, which led to his purchase of an Ultima GTR.

    Dissatisfied with its performance, he teamed up with former Koenigsegg lead engineer Leif Tufvesson to build the Rebellion R2K, an LMP-looking 600-plus-horsepower monster, complete with au courant dorsal fin and a claimed weight of just 2200 pounds. After campaigning the car on last year’s Gumball 3000 rally, he decided to take a snow day.

    Jalopnik posted this clip of Olsson doing his best in-through-the-out-door, hammering his way up a ski slope in the Gallardo-powered Rebellion:


    Might we suggest that Porsche and Audi attempt the same thing with their Le Mans contenders during the winter offseason this year?
