I know what you mean! Usually I try to stay cool behind the wheel but there are situations that sometime make me lose it and up goes the finger with a few choice words as well. I do not drive anymore due to Altzheimers and I might forget where I am going.:)

I completely agree! Technology of today can disable an engine via Satelite why can't the same technology be applied to cellphones?

I'm fairly good. I can't say I never got mad at someone that makes a bonehead move, but I quickly drop it. My girlfriend on the other hand does like you asked. Yells at people even though they can't hear her. Or feels like its like a competition with other drivers.

What kind of patience do you have when you discover the near miss accident you almost had or the fender bender that was not your fault but the fault of someone texting or otherwise involved in their cellphone and not driving safely?o_O

As much as I would love to pull them over and have a little chat with them. I really do take a minute and just calm down. Getting angry and loosing your focus is just increasing your likelihood of getting hurt yourself. When the technology as it is today for hands free phone use in cars, it amazes me so many people don't use it. You can even text with your voice on most smart phones.
I don't do this often, but I have called the non emergency police number on people that are especially bad. I don't know if it was a coincidence or because of my call once I actually saw the person I called about pulled over on the side of the road 10 minutes later.

I get angry pretty quickly, so yeah I do!
My dad does too, quite a lot. I guess we're alike! Only he starts commenting on how females shouldn't drive and how he hates female drivers lol.
We both hate people who use their phones while waiting for the traffic lights. It's like "ooh, let me check my facebook or update my twitter as 'waiting on traffic lights!' while I'm waiting!"

I used to have that problem when I first began driving as a teen. I even kept large rocks in my car to throw at assholes who cut me off. :) Lmao. But I've calmed down some now. NOTHING is so urgent that it should compromise my general well-being and health. I like to remain as calm and unstressed as possible.
My boyfriend on the other hand.......let's just say he's getting there x_x

I too sometime would like to pull the offending driver over to the side and give him or her a good "piece of my mind" for risking my life and whom ever is in the car with me's life. :nailbiting: I can half way understand talking on the cell phone maybe in an emergency while driving but for a person to "TEXT" while driving to me is absolutely CRIMINAL!

Just remember that the first person to get angry usually loses the battle. And unfortunately road rage is somewhat contagious!

Some old drunk 'n bitter lady once tried to push me off the road at an intersection with double lanes that come together again to one.

So I hit the gas, which she couldn't accept for whatever reason. She rammed my rear at the next traffic stop on purpose. (I was driving a 4 month old Mercedes)

Got out, she opened her door and I started tearing her to pieces verbally. I smelled the alcohol, but she found nothing better than to slap me in the face when I confronted her. So I took her by the arms and threw her back into the car.

She went to the cops to declare that I hit her. The next day her son was waiting on the corner of the street with 2 other guys. Luckily I was driving a replacement car.

Never heard anything from the altercation anymore.

I am happy that there was physical altercation for her "mob" who was waiting for you. I think the better move would have been for you to call the cops and let them handle the drunk!

People should not be generally driving under emotional duress. Emotions, such as grief, depression, and anxiety is as damaging as road rage. I have seen people who flip people off on the road because the driver in front of them is too slow. I saw it happened once to a new driver. There was a new driver sign stuck to the driver's vehicle. I felt bad for the new driver because the driver looked confused and scared.

There are many drivers on the road who forgot the fear that a new driver has. If there was no sign then yeah, getting a little upset is probably the norm for most of us, but with the sign on the car... I think that there should be a psychological section of the driving tests!

I has never happened to me but a family member have a really bad time on the road the other night. He came home very upset but did not give us a lot of details about the incident. I think there was a drunk guy on the road but he did not mention much.

I agree with that statement about the psyche test being part of the requirements for a licence.
Judging from the way I have observed some people's driving I wonder what mental state they are in when they make certain driving moves. They certainly cannot be in what I would call a lucid state. A classic example of that was when I was rear ended while sitting still, the last car in the line waiting for the light to turn green. A lady hit my car at about forty m.p.h. For someone to rear end another at that speed in a line of stopped traffic they must be mental and do not need to be behind the wheel of a car and maybe not even on a bycicle.

I do get a little raged sometimes. But it never goes further than me cursing to myself because of the other driver. Sometimes even when it was my fault lol. I've never gone as far as giving someone the finger, or chasing someone down.

My compliments to you if you can do that. I on many occasions have had to hold myself back from just flat out decking someone because of their stupid driving that has threatened the lives of my family and me.:)

I rarely get road rage nowadays. The only time I get mad at the drivers in front of me is when they are clearly disobeying posted signs and laws or when they cut me off. Other than that, I enjoy watching drivers rage as they rush to work or school while I'm relaxing behind the wheel with the 30 minutes of extra time I gave myself to arrive to class in a timely manner. I feel that the better drivers plan ahead, the less stressful the ride can be for themselves as well as the people they are raging at.

Well I can see where you come from, I'm sure if my family were in the vehicle with me and someone were to do something incredibly stupid then I 'd want to do something about it. Most of the time It's just been cut offs, or people laying the finger to me, which I just laugh and brush off my shoulders

I used to be that way until I was in a rather serious accident that fortunately my family was not with me at the time. I was sitting still in traffic when a car approached me from the rear and slammed into my STOPPED car. To this day I am still suffering from the "whiplash" injury I sustained at the time. This after two surgeries to repair the vertebrae. No, I do not have much patience for poor and inconsiderate drivers.
