Unfortunately (maybe) with my old eyes I can not do to much with a 2" screen on my cellphone. I just use it mainly for calls and sms. I am usually on line about 10 or so hours daily and need my laptop and secondary monitor. The secondary monitor is really an asset for me as when I doing research for an article it saves hours.

I have a BlackBerry 9810 which has a 3.2" screen which isn't bad. I also have my 7" BlackBerry Playbook that can use my phone to access the internet. The Playbook makes it easier on the eyes.

Being on a fixed income I go the pay as you go route. Here in Thailand is not very expensive and I don't use my phones that much anyway. I have an Iphone clone and a standard, ordinary celphone that is my "old faithful".

I've been using the iPhone for the longest time but I'm getting to switch to an Android or a Windows 8 phone. Android seems to be a better choice but I'm seriously tempted to get a Lumia

I have a Blackberry, but it is turned off. I guess that means that I don't have a cell phone:oops:. It's very freeing not to have that electronic leash on all the time. I have to get my phone turned back on though, the other day I was out and about and needed to use a phone and didn't have one to useo_O .

I understand what you mean when you say that you are connected to your phone, because when my cell is on, I am like that. The Internet can be like a drug:hungover: . And of course there are always people are texting and calling.
If they don't get a reply back, especially from a text, my friends start having a small fit:eek: . "Why aren't you answering your phone?" "Why aren't you texting me back?"
They even leave me mean (playfully mean, but mean just the same:rolleyes:) texts. I'm famous for not answering my phone because sometimes it gets to be a bit much. I have to turn my phone back on though, but the 'time off' has been nice.

I could not agree more. For me the phone is a tool I use when necessary ie. emergencies or a specific business purpose. I also use it to communicate briefly with friends ie. arrangements to meet somewhere as opposed to running out my minutes just chatting. On a fixed income saving $$$"s is a must.

Lol, you sound like me:hilarious::hilarious:. I hardly know about any type of new phone/tablet/pc/technology/whatever. It is just not something that I stay on top of...and I live practically right on top of Silicon Valley:hilarious:.
If it wasn't for my teenage son, I would not know 1/2 of what I know about new phones and any other new stuff that comes out. I still use a VCR:roflmao::roflmao::hilarious::shy:.

I have a Galaxy S3. I don't want to pay almost 800 for a phone that's exactly the same as the last one (Iphone 5)

Blackberry Curve here too and I will be buying the upcoming BB10, the keyboard feature that learns how I type looks great. I see Blackberry making a comeback with this latest model and am encouraged to see Iphone sales are falling and Samsung sales increasing too, the market is ripe for a BB comeback. I might even buy shared in the company :)

Steven has a wicked cool accent when he talks, lol.

That device is slick @ 7:47, I'll hold out for one of those!

The only major turnoff to technology I have left is their insistence on using tracking and personal information aggregation techniques to keep tabs on me. Just no!
