What goes around comes around being that dumb and racist should result in swift repercussions. The fact that Donald Sterling is still fighting to stay in the league shows how he is not sorry at all for his ignorance and bigotry.

I thought that the whole thing was a set-up from the beginning. This broad, this V. Stiviano chick, was getting on my nerves from the moment I heard the recording. She's the side chick, she's dating a married man, yet wants to "out" him for his faults.

I mean, yes, he said some very questionable things, and I have heard people say that he has some very unsavory qualities about him as an owner of a team that is predominately black, for instance inviting "guests" into the locker room with him after games when athletes are showering and getting dressed, so that they can be seen naked... showing off his black, muscular, naked studs, like one shows off thoroughbred horses in a stall. And other unsavory things.

All that being said, the man was mad because his girlfriend was Instagramming herself with Magic Johnson, a man who, in certain circles, was known for being a woman magnet, sexing women all over the globe in his hey-day. Donald Sterling was talking to his girlfriend as what he was, a jealous boyfriend. And he kept not wanting to talk about it, but she kept trying to get him to talk, and asking all these leading questions that were leading him into ditch after ditch.

Granted, he has some strong racial views, but most people have views about race, some very negative views, whether they will admit to it or not.

He is a part of the league 24/7. His actions can affect the league. So it doesn't matter where he says it. If you are saying it to anyone else it can be a problem. The players have the same issue. Why should he be exempt?

No body is forcing him to like anyone. He has to follow league rules. He has to carry himself in a professorial manner. He didn't do that and now he is in trouble.

He did harm the league. It gives them negative press when they do not need any. It hurt the players in the league. The coach and at least one player might not play next season if he is still a part of the team.

She was insulted by his rants. I think things went sour and she decided that she was done so she was taking him down.

People want to talk about her being the side chick. He is at fault for that as well so that I don't know why everyone points that out.

I'm sure they had a long conversation about it at least once before. He felt he said his bit but she wasn't happy with it so she recorded him. He said the wrong things to the wrong woman and might end up paying for them.

Another thing about the private message in my last post. There are players that are pissed that there it is a big thing right now. They said this has been going on for many many years and he should have been kicked out a long time ago. So it wasn't just one private conversation. He is known for this. This is just the first recording that was made or made public.

I can't even imagine being a black player and hearing the owner of the team being racist, what motivation to they have to do well for the team?

....am a bit far from the news, has he been apologetic or the least remorseful for his racist comments?!

Okay, sigh. Here we go. First off, let me say that I get it... Flexin, I get it, BUT... I think that this whole thing was blown out of proportion.

As I wrote already, the most reprehensible thing for me that I have heard about him is him allowing guests into the locker room to look at his "stable" of black studs, not in those exact words, but you get my drift.

Bottom line, many, MANY people (not all, but many) are enamored with black male athletes (or any black alpha-male, period) the muscles, the power, the energy, the mystery that surrounds them, especially if one is not black. It's almost like being around a huge, muscular throroughbred stallion, only one that walks and talks.

Many people have always been fascinated and curious about black people, they will continue to be fascinated.
It will never cease to be (not in this world anyway). Does that make it "right"? No.
Does it make certain things easier to comprehend? Yes. Of course it does. And I love it.

Over the years, Sterling has had some very distinct opinions about certain races, but he can't be too racist as far as his women are concerned, after all, V. Stiviano has black in her, just look at her. It's not like she's some blonde haired, blue eyed woman. V. Stiviano does not look white anywhere, she looks black mixed with Asian.

There was a story out that Sterling's wife was about to sue V. for about a million dollars for money that she supposedly stole from Sterling.
    V. probably wanted Donald to talk to his wife and have the wife drop the suit, he didn't do that, so V. decided to get even.

Half of the conversation that V. engaged Donald in on the recording would not
even be permitted in a court of law, because one would hear "Objection! Leading the witness." (Hello.)
Take it in the context of what it was. He was talking as a jealous man confronting his girlfriend. He was mad that she was chillin' with Magic. Donald knows she'll chill with a man for money, because that's what she's with him for, so he was basically saying, I know you're in it for the money, but you're making me look bad out here.

As a man, what Donald was telling V. was that he wanted her to stay away from Magic. Period. But his manhood, his pride would not allow him just to harp on Magic only. He told her you can do anything with them, feed them, f*** them, just keep it out of the public eye, don't post the stuff all over instagram.

After all, he has that broad sitting on front row seats with him at his games. Front row. So, he's saying don't make me look stupid.

And as the side chick, she is getting real special treatment. He was NOT hiding her away somewhere, not to be seen, sneaking around.
He's got her front and center, he walks red carpets with this chick... and she wants to secretly record him, and get him in trouble. She's a hypocrite. He's been treating her good, and she betrays him. If she was his wife, then maybe I'd give her a pass, but as the side chick, she needs to sit down somewhere with all the drama. Even a dog knows not to bite the hand that feeds it.

    *****Addendum*****

Also, I would be remiss if I didn't address this part of your response. You're right when you wrote that "they" said this has been going on for years. I have heard that also, that Donald Sterling has a reputation for having some strong racial biases and attitudes towards certain people.

You can't blame a person for how they feel, but if unfair business practices are being made and upheld based on those feelings, then something has to be done.

That being said, no matter how racist he may or may not be, I just think it was shady of that broad to record him and cause all kinds of drama. And what I heard on the recording was not a purely-racist rant, not to me anyway.

The general consensus of the masses is that Donald Sterling is a jerk who got what he deserved. Me personally, I would have to know him personally to form my own opinion, not go off of what others say, or what some set-up on a recording sounds like.

I heard that he wrote some kind of apology letter, but I don't think he's remorseful about the things that he said, I think that he's remorseful about trusting some gold-digger and being recorded during what he thought was a private conversation.

I personally think that the whole situation was blown way out of control. He might be a racist, but he's entitled to his opinion. But the ironic part of it is, the girl who did the recording looks black herself, so, hello?

If he has been engaging in unfair business practices based solely on race, and someone can prove that, then something needs to be done, but all that drama over that recording is too much if you ask me.

I think the ban was correct. The things Sterling said about black folks was way over the line. He's certainly entitled to his beliefs, but those comments are going to have some fallout in this day and age.
