Longest Road Trip

You people have really long trips. My longest trip took maybe 5 or 6 hours at most, but it wasn't tiring at all and I actually kind of enjoyed it. Maybe it was because there was beautiful scenery all around me (This was in Turkey, gorgeous views everywhere).

 

Well congratulations but never count out the women. I have been doing cross country road trips since I was 16 years old and often my girlfriends would go with me. I remember a group of us in college made it all around the country and we hardly stopped by changing drivers. So I don't think your premise holds true in all cases.

 

I really understand your point really...but have not seen the last part of my argument.The youngest guy was only me with 23 years while the one who followed me was about 54 years. Don't you believe that age determines a lot on the quality of your driving job or how do you see it?

 

The longest road trip I've ever been on was several years ago, beyond the countries capital to a lovely beach there. This beach is normally jam packed on holidays because it's water is just great. The journey is about three and a half hours long so we started out early to get a lovely spot. We did get that spot and had a great day with family and friends.

 

My girlfriend drove her car from Seattle to Michigan, picked me up and we drove to NYC and then back to Michigan. In a few months we are moving back to Seattle and her car will have coast to coast and back again!

 

My longest road trip was from New York to California for a job that I was doing. Me and the guy I was working with drove straight through switching on and off of who was sleeping and who was driving. That's when I learned that California is mostly desert unless your in the major cities.

The longest road trip that I have ever been on just happened a couple of weeks ago. It was about an 11 hour trip from south Texas all the way to the tip of the Texas pan handle. I would do it all over again too.

 

The longest road trip I go on is recurring every year. We live in Massachusetts and love the Outer Banks, NC. It's about 1400 miles roundtrip and takes two days because we stop in Philly to stay with relatives on the first day (that splits it into about 5 hours he first day and 9 hours in the second day).

But, even though this is the longest trip we take, I love the drive. We avoid the highway and use Route 1, and Route 13 most of the way along the coast. There is nothing like driving over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel. It is something to see.

 

The longest road trip for me was when we were in the United Kingdom. We drove all the way from London up to Scotland Glasgow. There was a concept where Beyoncé was performing and we absolutely had to go. This trip took us about 10 to 12 hours. I think it was one of the best trips we had ever. It was filled with a lot of excitement, a lot of food, a lot of stops, and a lot of amazing views. The United Kingdom is a very beautiful place filled with a lot of history. So for us it was an amazing trip I had a lot of fun and it was very memorable. I also like that we didn't drive too fast and it felt very safe.

 

The longest road trip I have ever been on was when I use to live in Maine my parents wanted to visit family for the summer and head to Niagara Falls. For some reason we went to see family first which was all the way in South Carolina. We stayed for a few days and went to Indiana to see more family and stayed there for another few days.
Then we headed up to Niagara Falls which was beautiful in the summer time. The trip was a little over 3000 miles.

 

My longest road trip was last year when I was looking at some colleges before I knew there were any in the state of Kentucky with my major. I went from Louisville, KY all the way up to Kalamazoo, MI for the first leg. That was horrible, nothing but Indiana corn fields and slow semi trucks for miles. After I visited Western Michigan, I drove over to Kent State in Kent, Ohio. That sucked too because there are so many toll roads up there, and I had never been on one. Then I drove all the way back home to Louisville. It was over 1,000 miles in like 2 days.

 

I personally love to drive on toll roads and country roads/surrounded by corn farms. I just feel relaxed. I could do it for endless hours with some good music and tempered wheather.

 

My longest road trip was from NYC to Toronto. Once you get out of the city its pretty much just I-95 all the way up.

 

Probably around 4 hours, I just can't stand long road trips, I get these horrible cramps and pains in my legs which make me want to have a 5 minute rest break every hour or so, but it's also pretty nice looking at all of the different cars and people you see along the way.

 

I liked actually driving on the toll roads, but I had never had to pay to drive on a road before in my life. I hated paying to drive!

 

That's very common here at Europe. You pay almost every single highway, else, you drive on country roads that are usually terribly busy and the road is full of holes and in the worse condition possible.

 

Longest road trip for me is from Georgia to Baltimore, Maryland. I believe it was 13 hours! It was a very long time when I took that trip, but I will never forget it. For one it was a long trip, and two I became really sick on that drive. I usually get sick everytime I go out of town.

 

Wow I didn't know that, that's certainly different than my life in Kentucky. I guess you could build your longest road trip up on those roads if you wanted to!

 

I went to Portugal last weekend and huh, 100 euros of tolls to drive 1400 km. It's quite a lot so in the return I avoided 50 euros by driving 500 km on country roads.
