It's a football match, but I think Germany will win, they have won 29 of the past 32 games what is an impressive record, I am not seeing Argentina being able to stop them.

This Argentina Vs Germany game so far has been amazing! So many chances no one can put it in the back of the net, GO ARGENTINA!

I thought it would end with penalties, but what an amazing goal by Goetze!!! Well deserved title for Germany, Messi had a free kick near the end but he kicked to the clouds.... too much pressure!

That is so true, I was watching the match as well and just for that goal the Germans deserved it. Messi best player of the tournament? Are you serious?

Well the World Cup is over and I am happy to say Team Germany has won! I knew from the beginning Germany was going to be the team to beat. I'm not a huge soccer fan but I started following Germany's soccer team in 2010. It was weird because somehow I was looking at information on this German singer name Lena Meyer-Landrut and then ended up on reading about soccer in the country. From there my interest in the team grew. Oh well. My boyfriend made a bet that Argentina would win and I said, "Nope. It won't happen." And I was right as always! :)

I picked Germany to win but never had Argentina pegged to reach the finals. Germany was really long overdue for a championship after reaching a number of semi-finals and finals in both the Euro Cup and World Cup. They looked like the most cohesive team unit the entire tournament and I'm happy for them. I am an Italian fan so this was a disappointing past two World Cups for us.

Germany are going to be even a dangerous team in Euro 2016 and World Cup 2018. They are really young and have a lot of players who will be in their prime come a few years. Kind of scary to think about.

It will be a while until 2018, we will still have Europe Championships in 2016, I hope some new talents appear for Portugal meanwhile.

I read somewhere that the Luiz Felipe Scolari has been axed, does that mean the coaching career is over or just World Cup wise :(...just asking

Yep, he's out, but he's super rich, so he could not care less. He can buy an island and live there or he can train any other club or national side if he gets bored of doing nothing.

Thanks for the heads up @ Peninha....i thought even training a club was out of bounds but according to what you are saying he is still allowed to do so, just not the World cup :coffee:

Argentinians didn't have the luck favoring them, they missed out on scoring opportunities and even a couple of minutes before close, they had one.i will never forgive messi for the free kick he wasted.
I wouldn't rate the germans as "undeserving",they actually deserved to win. They were exceptional throughout.
Now that FIFA fever is over,i am waiting for the next season to start..Rooting for ManU..

Yes, the Argentinians could have scored in the final minutes, but they didn't. On the other hand, that superb goal was well worth a world cup, one of the best I've seen!
