Nice. I don't remember seeing that model before. I like the interior. I would select a different color leather but I like the styling.

Thanks. This was at the UK launch of the car late 2016. It's a nice car, unfortunately in the U.K, we only get the Diesel engine. The Europeans and Americans get the petrol.

The funny thing is, a lot of people in North America complain that we don't get the diesel versions.

Lol. People in the U.K. think petrol is cheaper in North America, is that not true?

Cheaper then the UK? Possibly. Haven't heard the prices there in a while. Took this shot after reading your post.

That is per liter. Not everyone wants diesel but there is a decent sized group that is disappointed that we don't get that option in North America.

It looks cheaper than the UK, but 80% of our fuel charges are tax. I think they should offer the diesel in North America and petrol for U.K.

One figure I found for Canada is 38%. I have to check again but I think Nova Scotia is higher than that.

Do you guys pay a lot more for a diesel version of a vehicle? That hurts things here. We only have so many available. You can get the VW's, 1 ton trucks and larger, the new Dodge 1/2 ton truck, The Jeep Grand Cherokee and some others I'm sure I am forgetting. With the Grand Cherokee it is a $5000 option. Makes a lot of people not want to bother with it. Not sure the number but a small percentage of passenger vehicles here are available in diesel. Some are available in other countries but they don't pass here.

Wow, diesels are really expensive in your part of the world. The last time I checked, the cost roughly the same as petrol engines. I'm not surprised nobody wants to bother with them.

In Europe, there is a movement to stop diesel cars from entering major cities. Although it's not law yet.

Seems like the diesel is the cheapest option for the Range Rover and about $1000 more in the BMW X5 line up. That is without comparing specs.

So why are they trying to get rid of the diesels? I thought there was a lot of love for them in Europe?

They want to get rid of them due to pollution they cause.

Diesel is the cheapest option for many big cars.

That is why we don't have a large number of them here in passenger vehicles. They have to pass regulations here.
