Favorite movie(s)?

Platoon, I don't think they've made a war movie of that caliber since and likely never will again because of the secrecy they have on anything military nowadays. I saw zero dark thirty and it had NOTHING on Platoon.

Pick up a copy when you can, it's an older movie but is much more realistic than anything you're likely going to see from any new military flick. Saving Private Ryan came close but even that had a lot of Hollywood drama inserted into it.

It launched Charlie Sheen's career too, and Forest Whittaker's and Johhny Depp's and, and - everyone in it was a nobody then and is a huge star today.

 

I did like Platoon. Yeah it was a great war movie. Another great Viet Nam war film was Apocalypse Now, which had another Sheen in it, as well as Brando. Apocalypse was a bit less 'real' than Platoon admittedly.

As I am a guy, it goes without saying that Star Wars is right up there with the best movies

 

I like Walk the Line, American Beauty, and Fight Club. I have a lot of favorite movies. My favorite movie really depends on the mood I am in. American Beauty and Fight Club really questions society and the meaning of life. I like Walk the Line because I like Reese Witherspoon's acting.

 

I am more of an action movie person. I particularly enjoy historic action movies during the time of the "Romans/Greeks" and the mythology behind them. I am also into "GOOD" Scifi. movies with plots that make a person really think.

 

I have watched movies before and after these and none seem to ever be compare to them.

I think I'm going to see the latest Captain America in the movies with the wife and kids, finally a movie we can watch the four of us.

- Back to the future.
- Willow.
