The last and only time I've lost controll of the car was when I was 17 years old and I didn't even have my drivers license. I was trying to bring my mother's car to the parking lot in-front of our house with alot of snow, which was stupid and for some reason I was the only one trying to do that. It kind of went well in the start, but then it wasn't a straight place, meaning as soon as I accelarated, already inside the lot, It started sliding sideway and I almost crashed into the neighboars house. After that I had to clean alot of snow in order to take the car out of there. It's scary when you lose controll completly.

That does sound scary! I tend to be very slow and cautious when it is snowing or icy. It's hard to drive in, and I'm not used to it even now! And I've had my license for 20 years!

I recently moved to another city and here, as far as I heard, there isn't so much snow as there was in the mountain. Winter tires are also very useful. The most scary part wasn't the fact of almost crashing, but the fact that I had no drivers license and it'd be a problem with THAT neighbor. :p

I think I should update my situation in this thread since I just lost control this morning! Rainy day, alot of water on the road. I was comming on 4th gear, around 80kmph and the god damn light turned yellow. As I like to stop when I can, I did brake. Even though I started braking back there, once I got to 2th gear, even that wasn't enough to help braking. The front wheels blocked since I don't have ABS and the car just dragged/drifted/slided into the interception. As there was no-one backwards, I had time to return to behind the light, but it was scary as I had no way to stop the car. There wasn't cars coming in the interception yet because it just turned red and the other lights had no time to turn green as of yet, but if they did, I'd have to spin with handbrake or something in order to don't crash. I'll install winter tires as soon as possible. Summer ones are not working good. :p

Oh yes, and I quickly awoke from my deep slumber so that means it has never happened again. I had just started learning to drive and my husband asked a friend to pick me up from work. He offered to let me drive and I gladly accepted, About halfway home I saw someone I knew who beckoned to me and I took my eyes off the road too long and lost control, riding up an embankment. I was so frightened and learnt quickly that when driving you have to be very focused.
