When you're going to take care of the interior, do you get out q-tips and wipes and towels and all that? How do you guys give the inside of your car a good once-over when it's been a while since the last clean? I've done some googling but the answers are not very, well, detailed! How do you get the hard-to-reach places? Do you guys polish the buckles? Any fabric arm-rest stain remover tricks with household items? Tell me all of your secrets!

Just to chime in a little bit, I usually just stick with the basics. Vacuuming and washing the windows with glass cleaner. I guess I'm just kind of a basic kind of guy! XD

I think i have to recommend you do a full on valet cleaning. Get it to some guys that know how it is done. For over 8 years i was cleaning my car by myself and i felt like i did a pretty good job. Once i needed my car cleaned in a rush and a friend recommended me a nice place for a valet . I left the car with them for about an hour. They pretty much turned the car upside down. I felt like my car was new again and ever since then i have never bothered cleaning it myself.

Kidensika: I don't know if I have anywhere like that around here. The "detailing" places are all for exterior painting and whatnot, as far as I've seen. What type of terms do you suggest I google or try to find in the phone book? Oh, and do you remember how much it cost you? Thank you for a great suggestion!

When I clean the interior of my car, I use a vacuum cleaner, paper towels, glass cleaner, radiant dressing, and a toothbrush to clean the vents in my car. And I will sometimes add new paper floor mats to keep the dirt from getting into my carpets.

My husband usually do that kind of cleaning but not so detailed, no cotton swap, etc. Whenever we want something more perfect, he takes it to the car wash and stays there, he even helps out. So he comes home with a perfectly clean car.
