Sometimes my hubby and I get bored so we hop in the car and go for a spin. We just drive. Usually we check out roads we've never been on or visit cities next to us to see what's going on that particle day. It's kinda fun. I don't want to be cheesy but it's like we are modern day pioneers. lol
Where do you like to go if you just go for a spin?
Would still continue to go with the gas prices these days?

My friends and I still just get up and go even with the high gas prices these days, we find that an adventure with people you love have no cost.

We used to do that sometimes on a sunny Sunday afternoon, especially when we just moved to a new town, and we wanted to see more of what things looked like. Sundays usually didn't have nearly as much traffic, so even the busier roads were easier to navigate, and when we saw an interesting place, we could stop and look around.

One of the best things we found when we were out exploring here in Huntsville is a big castle-like home that was built back in the 1800's by a rich landowner.
Over the years, the city has grown up around the castle, and the acreage that it used to sit on has now become more modern homes; and the castle itself has had times when it was being lived in, and times when it just sat empty.

It is called Kildare Mansion, and there are more picture of it on the internet if you search for it on google, but here is one of the pictures that I took when we were checking it out.

There is a really nice park right by my house that my friends and I like to take a cruise around when we are bored. The park is loaded with trees and beautiful scenery, as well as wildlife and beautiful girls. The park is literally a stone's throw away so I don't waste a whole lot of gas getting there either.

That is one heck of a beautiful castle. I we might have to take a road trip to see it.
Greenville, SC had a castle similar to that. I was really beautiful. The husband and I wished we had the money to buy it. One of those, "If we won the lottery we should get this" type dreams. http://www.wyff4.com/6519420#!beRSak

To be frank, I haven't done anything like that in a while. In the past we've just driven around with the kids to no set location. Other times we drive by the football field and just watch the games, no matter who is playing. I'm really hoping these days will come back.

I would suggest you to start small and work your way back up. Or somehow make a game out of it with the kids, if they are still at home.

Thanks for the suggestion Jenn, I really need to build back that sort of vibes. I think it could turn out to be good therapy too.
