I love driving and especially like hills and trees around when driving. My wife on the other hand loves roads that run parallel to the sea shore. The sea on one side is a soothing site for her. How about you? What do you like to see when driving on an open stretch?

I love seeing the ocean. It makes me happy. I like seeing mountains as well but the ocean would be number one on my list.

    Hey James,

So, you like to the see the vast blue open space. That does sound interesting, however, for me mountains and hills are number 1. :)

    Thanks for sharing!

Seeing the waves crashing on the shore like improves my mood. Just seeing a bit of the water does one part of the highway here I can see the ocean over the trees. I love it. Driving by bays with boats out it another thing I love.

    I want a boat bad.

    James

We don't live near the coastal area, so there really aren't any scenic places that are available for my enjoyment when I travel inside the car. The most that you can see over here in the city are green, lush, landscapes of certain places.

One time while we were driving through a long stretch of highway in NE Ohio, we got hit with a quick storm that came out of nowhere and hit so hard, cars started pulling over on the road to wait it out. Once it finally started to clear and we could see things, the sun kind of came back out and we could see a tornado way off in the distance. It was just going through an open field - pretty serene looking actually.

When I was out in Cali a few years ago my friends took me along highway one, which was really beautiful. That was my first trip to Cali, so it was totally new to me.

I loved to drive through lonely forest roads, but across the countryside when my father was driving.

I quit driving when I came across with a new type of landscape I would love to try out; desert roads like those around Area 51.

In my case, I love to view beautiful, serene landscape when driving. It makes me appreciate more God's perfect creation on earth.

I live near to the coastal area so I see the ocean everyday. When I am out on the road I prefer to see the trees and mountains. Jamaica has beautiful mountainside and it is a pleasure for me to take long rides and just view the green mountains touching the blue skies. I like also to see the tall lush green trees swaying in the wind. All these things remind me that they are not just there but they were created for us to enjoy.

I like driving on hills or a flat surface. I like speed, which is why I have had two previous tickets. Driving on a hill at a good speed feels like a roller coaster. I love that feeling of going up and down the hills. Your body shifts up and down like the effect of being on a roller coaster, and for the weak people they get that sick feeling. I just hate that when driving up a mountain you get that pressure in your ears and eventually your ears have to pop. Driving on flat surface just makes me feel like I am drag racing or something. Basically I like driving fast and would probably be a good race car driver.

For me it's more about the weather over just the scenary. I love driving near mountains and near the coast although if the weather isn't good it kind of ruins it for me. I enjoy driving up mountains as well although I'm not a huge fan of extremely curvy roads with lots of turns.

I am not that brave to drive up mountains and even worst if it's got curvy roads or I am looking down over precipice. What I really enjoy is looking up at the mountains, not being up there. If it's looking up at the cockpit mountains, I get scared too, although it's uniquely beautiful.

Oh man, there are so many. I live pretty close to the ocean, so I always enjoy driving with the windows down and looking at the water. The smell of the ocean makes it even better.
