Car 1986 Pontiac Fiero

I have a huge passion for cars and have yet to have the time or money to put into actually building something awesome. This summer i have decided to go ahead and finally put it down and do a large build.
What I'm starting with: I got a 1986 pontiac fiero 2M4 last year from for cheap with a bad clutch. It has a Iron duke 2.5L engine and a 5 speed Izuzu transmission. The interior is pretty well shot and the windshield is shattered so it looks pretty tough.
My plans:So far my plans are to swap in a 3.4L DOHC engine in, make custom; working fiberglass fender and hood scoops and do a super cheap rustoleum black and blue roll on paintjob.
I will try to update with pictures and such as soon as i can, It might be a while till i start updating but when i do i'l have a ton.

 

My current plans are to see what happens.Right now i am planning to drop in some racing seats and leave it at that. ​

However, depending how much i put into the engine swap and everything else will decide what else happens. I kind of want to turn it into a full drag car, on the other hand i really don't have the time for racing so maybe just a street racing influenced interior.​

 

My friend has a 90s' camero and he said i could have the engine out of it for free because he hit a rock and wrecked the transmission.
Next time i go home i plan to take it out and get started working on the other stuff to put it in. Like motor mounts, fuel pump, and of course the wiring harness.

 

Actually the iron duke is a super heavy 4 cylinder being all iron and the 3.4L having aluminum heads the weight gain isnt a whole lot.
il probably strip some weight off to keep the weigh the same. It had factory air conditioning which i don't really care about anyway,
so il be getting rid of that.The brakes are shot on one side so they needed to be replaced anyway and
as for suspension I got the idea from someone of how you can install coil over springs and holders on the stock shocks, so il probably do that.

Probably one of my favorite cars is the GTO twin turbo 92, a beautiful car incredibly fast, handles really well it's really a dream of mine to own one, one day I better be safe because that thing is very hard to handle.

 

I'd love to see some pictures as well. I remember those cars from my childhood and thought they were pretty cool in their day. I liked the last GT's though. Those were pretty sharp.

 

I remember the Fiero when it came out. Once in a while Pontiac had a rather revolutionary offering. If I recall, the reception for the car was not great but I thought it was a rather slick looking car. Joining in the chorus...bring on the pictures!
