If you were 25 years old.......

Would you take a Billion Dollars and die at age 50 or live to be 100 and be middle class.

I dont think I would but, I need to think about it more. Your thoughts?

    Choosing money over life?

Since I don't see when I would ever in life need a billion dollars, I would go with the middle class option. I mean, seriously, who really needs a billion dollars? It would be nice to have, but I don't think one needs it. A lot of billionaires end up giving all their money away to philanthropy anyway.

That being said, I would want to be a bit above middle-class. How about upper-UPPER-middle class:);)??

A billion would. Go nice with my platinum tastes but 50 is too young. 100 years ago yes but today I wouldn't. Time with my kids is worth much more.

Well since I am already over the 50 mark I guess it is easy for me to answer but going back to when I was 25. . . take the money and run with it.

I think I would take the billion dollars. What's the point in living if you can't enjoy yourself?

Whats the point of having money if your not around to enjoy it? People over 50 still have a lot of life to live. They also have a lot of knowledge to share.

Taking the money would mean not seeing my kids grow up.

Lol. That's knowledge that you can spread to the younger generation. When they do the same thing anyway you can say "Didn't I just tell you not to do that?". Then leave and put the video on YouTube and be happy it wasn't around for you stupid stuff.

I have no desire whatsoever to live to 100. I don't know if I want to even live to 75. I'm not suicidal, but after a certain age, you're just old and there is too much dependence on somebody else. I'm taking the money and at 47, I start giving what I have left away.

I also have no desire to live until 100. But I do have desire to live until 75. To the TS, can you revise the question. I'd take one billion dollars and live until 75. Can I just have the billion dollars now and when I reach 50, give it all back and continue to live til I'm 100?
