I have been doing a lot of writing online and my fingers are beginning to feel sore. It would be great to have a program that can make it easier, after all I am human.

There is software on the market but I haven't used any lately other them the odd time with my phone. What OS do you use? That will help someone point you in the right direction.

If you want a speech to text program, you can buy Dragon Naturally Speaking. It costs money but that's the only program I know of. Hopefully, this helps.

That is the one my father in law used. I remember him "training" it to recognize his voice early in the morning. :wideeye: Other then that he liked the program.

I googled the price of that software, and it is quite expensive. The cheapest can be found in Amazon, and they're 2nd hand, starting from $27. I think that's reasonable enough.

You should definitely try Dragon Natural Speaking, I heard it's great but have yet to try it even though I've been meaning to get a hold of it but I just need to get enough to buy it first.

I have an iPad, and I am pretty sure that there is the app for the Dragon program for free, so if you have a tablet, this might work for you. It is called a speak to type program, or something like that.
If they have it for iPad , they probably have the same thing for other tablets and smart phones, I would guess.

You could try your luck at cnet, they might be offering the same type of software but it's a different brand as a free download.

My Boss used to use Dragon Naturally Speaking. It does work pretty well, but you need to become familiar with all of the voice commands. Also, I wouldn't recommend it if you are around others throughout the day, as you will drive them nuts. We all eventually asked my boss to stop using it because we couldn't concentrate on any of our work with him dictating all day long.
