I ask this because I am currently on a weight loss journey. I must admit that age hasn't been too forgiving, neither has the cheese pie or the cake, lol. I'm currently trying to lose some weight. I used to be a really heavy girl some years ago, I was sitting at 238 lbs; I'm sitting now at just 164 lbs and I plan to get down to 132 lbs! It's been a long path :)

What about you guys? Trying to lose some weight, or you're happy with what you already have? ;)

Congrats on the progress do far. I'm need to get back to my regular routine. I do have body fat that I want to drop.

My main thing is to stay in shape. I have been slacking since starting the new job. Long hours and long days which can have long periods of slow time make it hard. The long non stop hours at my last job was easier. I would just get to the gym right away and still be fired up and ready to go. Sit Dow. And talk for a half hour after work and my body would say your done for the day. I just need to get back in some kind of routine and that will take care of half of it. To get exactly where I want to be will take a lot of hard work, dedicated and proper meals.

    James

Wow congrats Trellum. That is a major drop. I dropped about 20 pounds and it took me a bit of time to do it. Good going.

I also badly need to lose weight, I'm 30 pounds over the maximum ideal weight for my height, but I'm just too lazy to work out, so I'll just try to walk instead of commuting when I'm near my home.

Thanks a lot, James :) Don't worry, I'm sure that once you adjust yourself to the new job you will not have a hard time going back to the old routine. I know it's really hard to work out during the night or evening :( I actually prefer to work out during the morning, because once noon has passed I feel totally drained! But don't worry, I'm sure you will find the way :)

I'm trying to just lose a bit of fat and get more toned right now. I'm not that overweight but I'm definitely not fit.

Thanks, Ryder :D It wasn't easy, but I'm finally getting somewhere ;) One thing I know for sure is that I'll never let this happen to me ever again - not letting myself go like that ever again. Congrats on your weight loss :) It can take some effort, but in the end is really worth it :)

My boyfriend is trying to do the same, he's trying to bulk up :p So far I must say he's doing great! He has gained some weight so far, and his abs are starting to show a little bit. He's very skinny by nature, but with some extra work he's getting really toned up and gaining some muscle. If you're a guy I'd advice you to do the same; make sure the weight you gain is mostly muscle and not fat.

That's great, Sidney :) When I was really overweight that's how I started to lose weight: by walking. If you have a park nearby, then you should try to go for a walk there at least 5 days a week. Try to do it for 30 minutes, after that you can increase the maximum time to 1 hour :) I'm sure you'll start seeing results once you do that :D

My boyfriend is trying to do the same; trying really hard to bulk up. I must admit he's doing it very well! If you're a guy and would like to gain some weight and bulk up, then I'd really advice you to start working out and eating more yoghurt! My boyfriend is doing that, and so far I'm starting to see his abs :p He's also starting to gain weight... most of his weight is muscle tho :) You should aim to something similar if you're a guy.

Hi, I'm on the same path here. Trying to lose some stubborn belly fat, but I guess I just need to lose a few more kilos (I'm 5'8 ft tall). I'm also working really hard to tone up my arms :) Best of luck with your goal!

I work four shifts a week that are 10 1/2 hours a shift and my job is a lot of walking. I walk about 40,000 steps a day in which is keeping me in great shape. I have a high lean protein , low carb diet. I stay away from sugar and process foods in which keeps my weight at wear I want to be.

That's awesome! I must say I admire people like you! Not everyone is capable to resist the cravings most of us have for processed foods and carbs! I love carbs, but I'm trying to stay away from them as much as possible.

Yes, I am. I had lost about 56lbs over the course of a year but recently I've gained about 15lbs back due to the stress of recently moving. I'm currently trying to get back on track.

I am always trying to lose the weight (who isnt above the age of 25). I try to eat as healthy as possible, drink as least as possible and workout as much as possible.

It is 75% Diet and 25% Working out; so if you really want to lose weight, its all in your diet.

I couldn't agree more with you! I managed to lose 75 pounds mostly by dieting only, and by dieting I mean counting calories and practicing portion control. To be honest I don't believe in actual diets... you know, the kind of diets that tell you what you should be eating exactly. They tend to be too restrictive for my taste! And in the end they teach you nothing about nutrition, that's why most people end up gaining all the weight they lost back :hungover:

So I really think you're doing great by just trying to eat as healthy as possible :)

Here's a different guy. I am trying to gain weight as my body weight is not matching my height. These days I have made big changes in food habits and diets to gain weight.
