Sorry, I didn't even introduce myself and started posting. I am Chinmay; I hail from Indore. I did think of posting in the same thread as Ashwin, but then decided against it.

Anyway, I don't have the same knowledge of cars like you guys do ( In other words I am not a gearhead! ), but I certainly hope to find my niche in this forum.

    Thanks!

    Welcome to Gearhead Central @cerande

There are many levels of experience and knowledge on this forum. You don't even have to be a Gearhead to join in.

Some are not Gearhead and don't want to be but they do have a question or two they want answered. They are welcomed as well. I do like the name of the forum but at times I think it might scare some people off.

Put you feet up and have a good time.

Thanks a lot! I am already having a good time, there are some very knowledgable people around here.

I won't be scared:). I have to say though Gearhead Central is a pretty intense name! Not that there is anything wrong with having one.

Its a great community, and I hope to contribute to the discussions.

Thank you Purple Guardian :) I am indeed enjoying my stay so far, and while I am not one of the most active members, I am slowly understanding the mechanics of the forum!

    Hey Chinmay

Welcome! Good to have you here. I am sure even questions about cars you would like to buy or your friend likes to buy can be answered here. So, I am sure you would need to be an expert to interact here.

    See you along then!

Welcome cerande. :) I don't have much experience either, what I know about mechanics is only the misfortunes my cars had and made me learn about it so I don't get too ripped off in the auto shops...

I apologize for not being active here recently. I just started my college studies, and the transition was more difficult than I imagined.

Thanks a lot though, this community indeed seems very friendly and welcoming. :)
