Anyone do anything special last weekend?

I ended up working on Saturday but on Sunday I went to the Terry Fox run/walk with work. Had a great time. I had my wife, kids, in laws and my mother there. Helping a great cause on a beautiful day with my family is great.

I was tough to see all of the red shirts. There were some young kids with them on.

I had to look up who Terry Fox was... sounds like a great tribute you went to!

What did I do? Hmmm.... on Saturday night my hubby and I went for a nice adults-only night, much needed after spending all of my time with children!
On Sunday I helped a friend with her children's birthday party. And then I cooked a nice meatloaf dinner while my husband brought daughter to her softball game. It was a nice, easy weekend... spent some time with family, some time with friends, and some time with just my husband!

I ran a 5k for cancer research. I have a few of those that I do each year, it's always a fun thing to do. Besides that, not much.

I am running a 5K this weekend! I'm nervous because I am NOT a runner. But I've been trying. My husband is much better than me. Luckily this race isn't timed, it's just for fun.

Last weekend I got to spend some quality time with the family. Not quite a 5k run but it was indeed fun. Nothing really beats family.

That was so nice of you, James :) It sounds like such a great cause, not many years ago me and my mom had a close encounter with this awful disease. Ever since that happened I feel fery humbled; you never know when tragedy will strike you in the shape of cancer. That's what I learnt, I didn't felt invincible anymore, and that in a way helped me to mature more as a person and to be more open to the suffering of others. Sadly tragedy striked me again 2 years ago... so now I'm, trying to keep a positive outlook again :)

Last weekend wasn't special at all for me :p I worked for a bit, then went out for a while to get some fresh air and have some pizza :) I didn't get to spend time with my boyfriend this weekend and that was so odd!!
