    You made a good point. I had that problem.

    I don't get lost. I just sometimes take the scenic route. Lol. Well one time I did that in my work truck. I was in an area that I haven't been to before. Somehow I ended up on a different road coming back. Not sure how that happened. I'm was sure I turned on to the same road. Anyway I went to check the map on my phone and I had no signal there.

    Drove farther, nothing. I knew that I was going in the general direction that I needed to go. I found my way out bit a working GPS or a paper map would have saved me some time.

    I usually use my Windows Phone GPS. However, I do not use that often, since I can orientate without needing to see a map.

    I used to use a pink Garmin gps but now I just use my phone. I try to not have too many electronics that all do the same thing so I got rid of the gps and my phone works just fine.

    Our ancient Garmins both died within a month or so of each other, so I replaced both GPS units in our vehicles with Garmin nüvi 50LM (5") units.
