As a driver, sometimes I'm tempted to go real fast. However I don't do it on the average road. Usually I speed up on highways where cars are more distant to each other. I'm not a very bold person so the fastest I've ever been is 86 mph. Not very fast I know but that's the speed limit allowed here.

I don't know for sure the fastest that I've ever driven, probably 90 mph. Car pool lane,
early in the morning, not much traffic.
I wasn't trying to go that fast, it's just that there was hardly
anyone out on the road, and my car likes to "go."

Sometimes, in situations like that, I don't even
know I'm going that fast until I look at the speedometer.

I like to watch fast driving, like on TV and stuff like that.
I consider myself a good driver, but sometimes I go faster than I should,
which is not a good thing. I try to be careful, but there is always room for improvement.

86 miles an hour is pretty fast.

I never drive over the speed limit and I hate to see a speeding car. I am a nervous wreck if we are late and my husband is behind the wheel. Sometimes I catch myself having my foot on the imaginary brakes, lol. It is my belief that if you are speeding there is less chance that you'll be able to do the right thing or even make a conscious decision if you are found in a danger situation.

Lol about the putting your foot on an imaginary brake. I don't like to ride with someone else driving me.
I hate not being in control of a vehicle that I'm riding in.

I don't have a husband, so I don't know whether or not I could stand being in a car with "him" driving a bit too fast.

I consider myself a good driver, and I could totally see myself being one of those NASCAR drivers, because I love to be able to handle the road and not let the road handle me. You are so right though, if one if going too fast, sometimes it's hard to "think on your feet".

Well, one day when I was on the highway at night. It felt like I was the only person driving on the freeway and there were no cars, so I decided to see how fast my car could go. I press down hard on the gas pedal and I went up to at least 110 mph. I was worried that the police might see me so I decided to slow down after a minute. It was a really good thrill. My little Kia drives really well.

The fastest for me was 120kph. I can handle a car at high speeds, but one thing i do is i pay attention to the car that i am in and generally once the car seems to be lacking in stability or i sense a change in the cars response, i know that i am in the danger zone and rather than push it to its limits. I reduce or maintain speed so as to not let anything crazy happen. I trust cars but not that much so i dont take too many risks in them.

It's 80kph for me. Lol. What can I say? I'm a defensive driver. More of a beginner actually. I only trend to border on speeds that are around 40-60 kph. Maybe when I experience driving in a freeway, I'll be able to try and drive a lot faster.

I hit 133mph a few years ago. I was driving on the Gandy Bridge in Tampa and it was completely empty as far as I could see. I was in my dad's old C300 and I decided to step on it since there was no one around me.

The fastest speed I have done is about 80 or 90 mph. I was not driving that fast on purpose, but it just happen. I was just driving keeping up with traffic and realize I was one of those fast and furious drivers all of a sudden. I did not get a ticket going that fast, but I did get one going 75mph on the highway in a 55mph area. I really do like speed, but after paying to tickets for speeding I have tried to take my foot off the gas and start using my toes instead!!

I am not proud but I was young and dumb one and I owned a Mustang GT and I had it going 140mph. It was so stupid one false move and I could have killed some one or myself. These days I never drive 5mph over the speed limit.

My truck only goes about 100 mph, so that is pretty much the fastest I have ever driven. I have only done so on an empty highway, and even then going that fast is still dangerous. I haven't drove that fast for a couple of years now that I have grown up a bit.

I don't tend to drive fast on the street. I don't want to put innocent people in danger, but i have done about 90 something going to the hospital. On a track i have done right on top of 200.

I hit 104 mph once, but I generally don't speed anywhere near that much.

I've gone 145 MPH when I was a young idiotic kid who had just driven down the coast and picked up his first Mystique Mustang 6-Speed. I was so excited that I pushed it as fast as I possibly felt comfortable on the way back home. It handled amazingly and even though I'll probably never do it again it was amazing. I think all real drivers get the bug sometimes.

When I wasn't driving the car I was in made it to 120 mph...unfortunately it was a rickety, rusty Honda Accord. We were dumb high school students.
I had the chance to drive on the autobahn's in Germany however and reached 114 mph for about an hour. That was exhilarating.

I think I did over 95mph on freeway once. I was going home from work way too late and there's not a single soul in the freeway not even the cops bothered to monitor so I went full speed with my SS. My usual 30 minute drive was cut in half and I got home early enough to catch up with my wife and kids, if I was still single back then I think I would've went nuts on the pedal.

I once was around 200, 220km/h, but I don't do this often because it's dangerous and consumes a lot of gas. This is more or less 130 mph. I was in a highway that goes slightly down and no curves, so it's really easy to pick up speed there.

I once drove my uncle's BMW 320d on a national highway and hit 225Kmph,that has so far been my highest.I could have got it higher had it not been for a "Kuccha" road in that stretch.
I have always wanted to breach that 300 mark, but i am not getting the right kind of engine to do so.
