Civic oil change.

Last weekend I helped a friend out by doing an oil change for her in her 2008 Honda Civic.

Car jacked up so I can get under it. And you will notice that I removed the jack handle so it isn't a trip hazard and as you can see I have a jack stand under the car as well.


The big power plant. Before I finished I put a zip tie on her power cable. I don't like it moving around loose. Moving around will allow it wear and damage the cable. Could take a long time but why risk it?


She picked up the oil and filter. As you can see she decided to go with the Fram extra guard.

This is a very useful item in any garage. A funnel. They are not expensive. Pick up some in more then one size. It saves product and keeps it off your engine and floor. I was glad to have one with this engine. It sits back so the oil fill hole is almost under that rubber seal. Makes it harder to get in without making a mess. The funnel solved that problem.



The oil change is complete. I wanted to take more pictures using my good camera but I forgot it in the house and it was NFL playoff weekend. So I had to be done before my Cowboys played. They lost but had a great season.
