My dad is quite strict about not eating in his truck, while my mom eats all the time in her truck. I guess most of my knowledge and habits in cars come from my dad, as I don't really eat in any car.

I eat in my car and most of my friends eats and allows eating in their cars. I have just one rule NO ketchup. For now there are no stains in car and I hope it will stay the same.

Of course I eat but not all sorts of victuals. I stick to my coffee or any other stuff that is in drink form. I would also not mind to take a fruit or any other energy stuff. However I often do this when I am on the passenger seat with my girlfriend and someone is driving us. Rarely would you find me eating while driving alone but since its like when am driving am with her that’s why is say I love to eat when am driving.

When I first got my van, brand spanking new, I said no eating. But honestly, with 4 kids and being on the go often, it was not practical.
That being said, I clean the interior often, and I make the kids clean their own messes.

Yeah, I do eat in my own car, but I'd never do it on my boyfriend's new Honda Accord; he's probably kill me, lol. His car is in a really good condition and he likes to keep it really clean. He's be really mad if I leave a staind on his seats...

It's very rare for me to eat in my car and when I do it's just a piece of fruit or something that doesn't get the car dirty. My kids do eat something from time to time so the back seat is not so clean...

I did not have the habit, but my toddler has to be fed on long drives and we have no option but to feed her. So, as a result the soiling of the car seats was inevitable and hence even I started eating. Of course, I am using my kid as an excuse. :)

I have no problems eating in the car, so long as I get the car cleaned every day and the seat covers washed once every two months.

I am not so concerned about cleanliness but then also I do not recommend eating in a car when driving it for safe driving and be safe as we can get into serious accidents if we do not concentrate on driving while driving a car. I have no problem when a person who is not driving eats in a car.

I use to eat all the time in my car in the mornings. I would chow down on a Mcdonalds breakfast almost 3 times a week. But now that I drive a manual, I don't anymore. It would be possible to drive stick and eat at the same time but I worry about making a mess or spilling something. Plus, it's really annoying trying to juggle everything and keep focused on the road.

For many years, I sold insurance, and ran a route, so I practically lived in my car. Often there was no choice except to eat on the car , but I was always careful what I ate, or used a small towel to keep the truck clean.
Now, I seldom travel very far, and do not usually eat in the car, except for an occasional stop at a drive through for a burger or drink.
I think as long as I don't have a new car, and I am careful with what I eat, ant there are no children, that it is fine to do.

I eat in my car, but no one else is. I absolutely do not trust anyone else to eat in my car. I'm afraid of spilling and staining. I don't even allow chewing gum in my car. Eating is prohibited in my car, unless it's me.

Me neither, I don't see the point in it. When I eat at home I do it at a table or with a dish that is not possible in the car so I never do it.

Before I had kids, I never allowed anyone to eat in my car, but that has changed. What I have done is to 'eat proof" the car. So spillages are minimized, and foods that drip or spill can be cleaned up easily without staining and leaving smells in the car. t took some adjusting to, but now I have it down pat. I have no problems now.

Lol. I see your point. It would take some getting used to. Having little ones really change the outlook we will have on many things.

I eat in my car :x My brother has a new Mustang he worked very hard for, and I respect the fact that he doesn't prefer food in there, but for me, a car is more of a practical possession. I use it to get from Point A to Point B, and while I don't want its insides looking trashy, I can always have a garbage bag and dispose of any junk as soon as I reach Point B. As for spills, guess I'm just extra careful? My car isn't as nice as his anyway. :p

Not really unless i am really hungry. The last place i want to get dirty is my car. I am kind of neat freak anyway.

Believe me, they really do. When you're doing drop offs and pick ups and you have to rushing from point A to point B to prevent them and yourself from being late, and someone always has to get something to eat because "Mommy I'm hungryyy!" Lol. You just throw up your hands and say "okay, I'm gonna customize to keep the car clean." It actually works. You could never know we eat in the car sometimes.

I used to eat in the car when I was a passenger, but lately I am the one who drives all the time so not anymore, but used to, and if passenger would do.
