According to this brief film, Jaguar made this concept car specifically for the movie Spectre, and it will not reach production. They also mentioned that the Aston Martin was also a concept car, but I have not found out more about it. The movie begins with an unrelated commercial.

Okay, here's the Aston Martin. Given a choice, I would pick the Aston Martin over the Jaguar. But the car from the movie is no longer available. Someone bought it for 3.5 million. But from what I also read, Aston Martin will make 10 of these.

In that link it said 8 are for the movie and 2 are show cars. Did Jag changer their mind and sell one? It is crazy to think that they did a concept car just for the movie. You do create a buzz for your brand. But it seems crazy to use a vehicle that isn't going to be in the showroom. But I do like seeing them get creative for a movie.

Here's a link about the sale.

I really don't know what the upside is of making so few. Maybe it's concept version of the DB 11 and this is all joint publicity.

Maybe they don't have a production car that is ready so they did this to have a car for the movie.

That fits in with what I posted. The new model is due to come out, so they don't want to use the existing model. So Aston Martin cranked out several more of the existing concept version. Then they gave it its own model number and web page to build up the Aston Martin mystique.

The DB10 in the Spectre film - One was auctioned off. The rest are not for sale. As far as I know it was a low volume production car, not a concept car.

The Aston Martin range of cars is going to expand in the next few years, look forward to seeing what they have to offer.

I think their planning a number of models, a new one every year, for the next few years. Similar to what Porsche are doing.
