It is "deviant" indeed! It's such a nice and unique design, but it is kind of creepy don't you think? I think that when I decide to focus on collecting tarot cards when I have spare money, I will buy that deck. I'm sure it's more or less $25. I wonder if they have a "deviant sun" deck? If there's a moon there should be a sun right? :D

Yeah reversals are quite negative except for the sun. I guess I should not let anyone touch my deck then so that it won't mix with their energy.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more, this deck is really creepy and freaky... specially some images :nailbiting: It's a beautiful deck, but I'd never use it for a reading! I'd love using the rider white for that tho :hungry: I'd not use the one I use nowadays either :D The more simple the better... because most of those tarots are very nice to look at, but not very practical. I'm not sure, but they might have a deciant sun tarot deck, you never know ;)

Yeah, the sun is the only exception, but I rarely see that card :playful: I've seen swords a lot lately :nailbiting:

Swords are mostly negative, except for the ace of swords. Do you use the tarot to know how someone feels about you? It can answer your question, lol. Do you also use the tarot for yes/no type of questions?

This one will be very odd but I like everything comic. So if I come across a funny picture either online or in a magazine I clip it [or print if I obtain from a web-site] and stick it in a large hard-cover book I keep for that purpose. When I feel down I just need to find this huge book and its contents make me happy.

Tarot cards! I used to have a deck. I'm sure it was some generic deck. It actually freaked me out. I really didn't know what to do with it, so I TRIED doing some readings but it's just scary.
When I was younger, on the soap I used to watch (Yes, I'm dating myself! I watched OLTL) Luna predicted her own death with tarot cards. They've made me nervous eever since! ha ha ha

Not sure of the soap, but just wondering what made you scared of the tarot? Did it give you nightmares or something? I read on a website that someone started having nightmares when they started using it.

Yeah, I use it a lot for that :) I also ask question regarding to the person's real intentions or personality. So far my reading have been quite accurate, sometimes that scares me and that's why I avoid reading it for myself! I don't use the yes/no modality a lot :p It can be a bit misleading sometimes, but it can be really fun ;)

I collect car insignias and name plates. Recently my brother found me a GM collection of Cadillac key styles from the 40's on up. The classic wreath went through quite a few changes and it is in a shadow box and I love it. Quite the find.

Why do you say it's very odd? A lot of people like collecting snippets of whatever genre from magazines and books and putting them in booklets or sketchbooks. I knew a guy who would do the same with occult and gory stuff. Lots of cool creatures and designs, too. Collecting comic strips and funny pics actually sounds like a good idea, I might do that myself.

Lucky you, mine hasn't been accurate sometimes, like it picks up on the current mood of the person instead of answering my question. Sometimes I ask for a go-signal if it's ok to invest my money, the tarot and i-ching said yes, but the person scammed me!

Ouch, what kind of business are we talking about? And... was this an online reading or you worked with physical cards? That makes a huge difference, lately I don't feel like reading it for myself or for anyone, it always comes up with the strangest warnings... some positive things, but it also hints things of a really dark nature. So far it's true, I haven't fully recovered from a disease that has been affecting me for two years and half ago :( It seems this isn't going to happen anytime soon either. :grumpy: Oh well, I guess I can wait!

I was just scared that I wasn't doing it right, or that I would call upon some spirits I didn't want to see. You know? Not knowing how to really read and use them, that's what scared me. No nightmares though!

@ Trellum, I was just using online tarot cards then. I was just asking if I should invest $50 in an HYIP site, the tarot and i-ching all said "yes", but I got scammed. Don't rely on tarot too much for making decisions!

@ Treighsie, I don't think tarot can summon spirits and ghosts, it can only pick up what the person is thinking and feeling.

Sorry to hear you got scammed :( I don't trust the tarot that much, but using an actual tarot deck can give you WAY better readings. So far my readings have been extremely accurate. I know it can be really tedious to learn all the meanings of each tarot card, but in the end it really pays off :)

Oh, does it have a huge difference when you read online and when using a physical card? I don't own a tarot deck yet that time. I think it picked up my enthusiasm? that's why the reading became inaccurate, hehe. There's this fave spread of mine in newagestore.com, the yearly tarot forecast, and it has been accurate for me. The month's events and moods played out as predicted.

Yes, because the important part of owning a deck and do readings is the fact the cards will be magnetized with your own energy, this can't happen with ''electronic decks''. Actually when you buy a deck, you must prepare it first, then you need to start magnetizing it by touching it. That's why you should only use this deck for reading and not for other things, also you shouldn't let others handle it... you're the one who should mix the cards always! NEVER let anyone else mix your deck, it'll be ruined and you'll need to get a new one for readings :( LOL, I just realized what I just said might sound weird to people who are not familiar with the topic :D

Oh I get it now, I did read about taking care of tarot cards and stuff like that. So no one should touch my deck then. It's still sealed, I haven't opened it yet. But how about those tarot card readers, do they let other people touch their deck to pick the card? And yeah, people not familiar with tarot may think that we're weird, but it's ok, lol.

About this thread, I used to collect stamps and coins as a kids, but now I collect nothing, just sometimes sticker collections with my kids. :)

Trellum, your Tarod card collection is sweet.

I collect coins, my passion started when I was about 7 years old and was on vacation with my parents on the seaside, I found a relatively old coin in the sand and that started my appetite. I've been collecting various coins from many different country since then, no expensive coins in particular, but I like them nonetheless.
