Anyone experience a little bit of road rage? I know some people are worse than others... My fiance curses like a sailor when someone or something on the road sets him off. I swear sometimes I did not know so many curse words could be used in the same sentence. Do you ever find yourself yelling at the car in front of you even though they cannot hear you? :p

I try to stay calm. Road rage is a bad career move. I might curse the odd time but I try to forget about it. Its not good driving around in a big truck pissed off at the world.

If someone does something really stupid they might get a blast from the air horn to let them know what they did or to move them back into their own lane.

The other day I was driving and the car behind clearly was in a major hurry and was desperately trying to get past me by trying to squeeze in between me and the car beside me, he got so angry that he started beeping his horn, I could not go any faster as there was a car in front of me, he was going bananas. Once the car beside me turned off he flew by like a bat out of h@## cursing and swearing. What a lunatic!

Yeah, outside of a little cursing... I'm not really THAT big on road rage personally. My husband on the other hand... I cannot think of a time where we've gotten in the vehicle and he has not yelled at some vehicle. His temper and patience with other drivers is really not that great.

Haha, Lisa. I really love when you see other people cursing up a storm and flailing around in their car and you cannot hear/understand anything they are saying. It just makes them look crazy.

My brother gets road rage. He even takes on people at the light on the right hand lane so he can overtake them. It is absurd how he drives and curses at people. Whenever I am in a car with him I am always holding my breath.

That is not good. That can get out of control quick. Why does he get so mad?

I try and stay calm and alert but there is always someone who tries to drive around without taking anyone elses safety into consideration, its very annoying. If someone tailgates me for more than a few seconds I match the speed of the car beside me and stay at that speed (the speed limit) and look into the rear view and watch the show ;)

Haven't experienced road rage directed towards me but I saw a video on youtube from a news program about the increase of road rage attacks, one such attack was by a motorcyclist who kicked an old man in the head :/

Might have to keep a baseball bat in my car lol

It's odd. I seem to enter somewhat of a zen mode when I get behind the wheel. When I travel with relatives, it freaks them out. They like to assume that I have no idea what I'm doing. Because I'm not getting loud, or freaking out when I see something at the side of the road. They make sure to "help", by belittling me, and grabbing the wheel whenever they feel like i'm about to run into something that's 50 in front of the car.

I prefer to travel with people who aren't loons, but sometimes you have to grin and bear it. :)

I think we all have our moments where we want to rage out. I am personally vulnerable when I'm running late for work. I never let it get the best of me, though. As someone said above, it's a bad career move.

I am unsure what provokes the behavior. He is a nice young man in any other scenario. Get him behind the wheel of the car, and you will be holding your breath until you reach the destination.

I recently visited Mexico City and I have to say that the people there have some of the worst road rage anywhere I've seen. First of all they don't really follow any of the traffic rules. For example if the light is red only a portion of the people stop and wait until the light turns green, many people just go on ahead as if they had the right of way. What's worse, is say that same person that ran the red light is close to running over a pedestrian that really does have the right away the person that was in the wrong will get mad at the pedestrian for being in his way. This is something that I just don't understand.

It is easy to get ticked off at others when behind the wheel. There are certainly some people making dumb choices out there on the road. I try to just give them the finger and laugh about it. :D

Joking, but seriously I just let it go most of the time. It is such a small thing and I refuse to let it mess up my day.

I remember once getting cut off by some suit in a hot rod several years ago. I laid on the horn and flipped him off. This guy actually started breaking spontaneously in front of me. He'd speed up to about 40 or so and then, out of nowhere, he'd hit the brakes. I was actually tempted to hit him, but figured I'd get cited for the accident.

I do get road rage and I curse and scream like a maniac but I don't try to fight people or anything. I do act like a dick and start going real slow when someone is riding me or I try to box them in when they are speeding and weaving all over the road.

Road rage is just one of the many cons I found to put aside the idea of having my own car.

Why should I bother raging, cursing and screaming with others, when I can get a taxi driver doing this for me? LOL

Oh I have a friend who is very prone to that. She always curses when some vehicle cuts her off, or if the traffic lights or the policeman are slow to make a "go" signal. She's quite impatient too, which adds and amplifies that negative behavior. In fairness to her, she drives carefully and she's not a reckless driver, but if she's not careful she might pick a fight with some other motorist someday.

I have road rage sometimes. Usually it's because of idiots going 15 under the speed limit, or idiots pulling out in front of me and taking their time to speed up. If you're going to pull out in front of me, at least make the effort to go the speed limit quickly.

I think that they used to have this little device that you could put on your dashboard and pretend to fire bombs at cars that make you want to rage out.

I need that, Tommy. Sometimes I just want to strangle people for driving so dumb and being stupid. It's amazing how many horrible drivers are in my city.
