    This is my step fathers Ford Ranger. My brother and I have done some work to it to keep it running. Here are some pictures of it along the way.

    One thing we have done is to remove the bed liner. It had some concrete on it ans so on from being used in construction. Next we started to clean the bed and then start scuffing for a roll on liner.

    The truck is looking great! I like that you and your brother work together to fix up your dad's car. I wish I had such skills. I bet your dad will be over the moon once you're done. :)

    Thanks. I/we have done many things to it for him. This time it was for him and my brother. My brother was moving away for work and taking the truck to move his stuff. I have more pictures I will add to this thread.

    Speaking of that. I need to find the time to detail my step fathers other truck. I have been so busy I haven't had the chance.

    That is a pretty cool little truck. Those ford rangers will last forever. The roll on bed liner is going to be so nice. I have done that in the bed of a truck before and it is super nice. The downside is that when it is brand new it can be a little rough and you'll get scrapes on your hands and what not from it. This goes away really quick if you use the truck to haul stuff a lot. The bed liner will last for a long time though.

    Ford Rangers are good if you know how to fix and work on them because they will run forever...I have a buddy that has done a little bit of work on his and has had it running for 200,000 miles...I think when he got close to 300,000 he had to put a new engine in but now is close to 400,000 or so miles.

    I never tired a spray on liner before. The next one I do I want to try out Monstaliner. http://monstaliner.com/ It can be sprayed or rolled. I have heard many good things about it. I'm not sure if I would spray or roll.

    Looking pretty sweet so far. Are you planning to do any other aesthetic modifications? Any engine mods? Supercharger maybe? New exhaust?

    That's really awesome. Such a great project. I lived in San Diego and there were some great custom builds. Some were a bit flashy, but that's the style out there.

    Thanks. No crazy mods for this truck. It was used as a work truck and my brother was moving away for work. He was taking the truck for a bit and wanted to clean it up. The bed liner had some dried cement in it and it was in need of some loving. So we did some buffing on it but ran out of time before he left. Did the bed liner, repaired a seat tear and detailed it a couple of times. I also replaced a cracked tail light and fixed the license plate bulbs. The truck was also given a oil change.

    More might be done if the truck comes home.

    i think it is an amazing automobile . i have one that is giving me some problem right now . Engine and the front end is giving problems.

    I gotta say my Ranger has been a good vehicle too. It is also an Edge model, 2003. So it is now ten years old. Not particularly high
    kms. Only complaint and it is really minor is the headlight switch
    which I got sick of replacing.

    I used to have a little 86 Ford Ranger, had it painted pink, and I just loved that little truck !
    I had it for a number of years, and it was a long ways from new when I got it, and had a lot of miles. But it always ran good, hauled a good load when we needed to bring home some lumber or hay for the horses, and always got me where I needed to go.
    This one of your dads is a nice looking truck, too, and the painted on headliner looks like it would do a good job .
    All I have ever seen for a bed liner is the kind that fits inside, and that is what I had on my Mazda. They work really good, and help protect the truck.
    I am sure that your dad will really like this when he gets his Ranger back again .

    Always liked the Ranger as the best of both worlds, It has the capacity of a truck to haul things but not such a monster you can't afford to keep gas in it. You and your brother have given it a nice face lift. Thanks for sharing some great pics.

    That spray on stuff is super messy. I think If I was going to do one of those bed liners I'd go the roll on route too just like Flexin.
