Would you wrap your rims or would you go with chrome or aluminum rims?

Not sure where to put this since there isn't a DIY mod or customization sub-forum so apologies if this is miscategorized. A new product we're developing is custom rim wraps and, from what I can find on the interwebs this looks to be a pretty popular thing: http://customized-wheels.blogspot.com/2013/10/custom-rim-wraps.html

So, what are everyone's thoughts? Would you wrap your rims or would you go with chrome or aluminum rims? I think there is so much more room for personalization (if you check that link above you'll see a company that did a set of custom camo wrapped rims) with vinyl wraps but maybe that's my bias.

Ultimately, I would go for custom rims. For me the style of most factory rims don't do it for me. If the rims that were on it were something I liked then the wrap might be an option. I like the look of the Camo rims, don't know if I would do it but I like it.

There are people doing that plastic dip so there must be a market for it. Are they heated to stretch them over the rim? I think the vinyl would fix a lot of the finish issues that some seem to have with some plastic dip products.

As far as the custom section goes. I can fix that.

How is it applied and how crazy of a rim can it cover? Is it too much work to put it on a rim with a lot of smaller spokes (smaller then what would be on a five star but not a wire wheel?)

I applied plasti-dip to my rims in 2009, have had them on there ever since, Not the same wrap because quite a few months in the wrap starts to chip and pull away.

It looks amazing on the car I think.

There are some tough vinyl products out there that can last a long time so if the vinyl on the wheel was high quality I don't think it would come off on its own in a couple of months.

@Rvinyl.com Do you have pricing figured out yet on wheel wraps?
