I'm Jenna, 21 years old. I live in NC.

I just bought an FR-S in March. Haven't done much yet (no money, that's what buying a car does to you) besides replace the side markers with some clear ones, swap out the interior and tag lights for LED's, and got a shorter antenna so it doesn't look so much like an RC car.

    Welcome to Gearhead Central @J3NN4

How are you liking the FR-S? I hear great things about them but having had a chance to drive one yet.

I love it. It handles amazingly, and I'm finally enjoying driving again. My first car was a 3000GT, and it was totaled :( so after that I bounced around from crappy car to crappy car, and ended up with an '04 Taurus. Not knocking the Taurus, it was a decent car but definitely not for me. Then I started driving a Silverado. So driving the FR-S is a huge difference. I got so used to the suspension and handling in it that I was convinced my Silverado needed an alignment haha.

Sorry to hear that. A Taurus is a big difference from a 3000GT and a FR-S. Completely different car. It would have a hard time keeping you interested. A SHO would do a better job but still would have a hard time keeping you excited compared to them. The Silverado is a different beast all together. I love trucks and I love the Silverado.

Honestly... It felt like pieces of my soul were falling out every time I got in the Taurus. It just wasn't the car for me. It wasn't a bad car, as many of them that are around should be proof of that. I just never felt in full control and it was pretty boring. Not sure why I ended up with it, really. Needed a car, and my mom wanted something smaller to drive around, and she fell in love with it, so I went for it since she was helping me pay for it.

I do love the Silverado, though. My step-dad passed away in February of last year, and gave it to us before he died. My mom's in her late 60's and just couldn't handle something so big, so it became mine. It's an '05, and had about 30k miles on it. It was his "going out" truck, ha. Still smells new! As much as I love my FR-S, that truck will always have a special place in my heart and I drive it pretty often, too.

Yeah I like the Taurus. They are nice cars. Not exciting but they are nice. I feel the same way about Toyota cars. Not the FR-S (I feel that would be a fun car to drive) but the Corolla and Camry are soulless. We have a 2010 Corolla. It isn't a bad car. It isn't what we wanted but we were running out of time and it was the best of what was available for the low payment my wife wanted. It is a good car that is great for taking the kids around but it lacks excitement. I can understand where your coming from.

Its nice that you get to have his truck. Some people love trucks. I grew up with trucks and have a love for them. Others don't understand it. My wife loved driving my step fathers 98' Ford F150 4X4. It was a pretty big truck the way it was set up. She loved it. She called it her truck. LOL.

I can't say anything bad about Corolla's. My grandma used to have an '06, and she butchered that poor car. Backed into a house with it, hit another car with it, and also drove through her garage with it. A bunch of brick columns came down on top of it and it still runs.

It took me a long time to get used to driving the Silverado. Wasn't used to something so big, and parking it was a nightmare. Eventually it clicked and now it's so much fun to drive. It's durable, and it makes me feel super safe. Women love trucks ;)

Yeah the are good cars but are lacking in the enjoyment department.

I know many that have owned them and loved them.

Hi Jenna, and welcome to the forums! The FR-S is one of the nicer cars out there in my opinion. It's definitely up there for my favorites!
