Anyone else get excited about this season because of the horror movies? Even though there haven't been any good ones lately, I still love turning down the lights, turning on the surround sound and seeing if I will be scared shitless or laughing my ass off at how bad it is.

American Horror Story, though not a movie, really brought the chills last season and this year takes place in an asylum so it could be super intense.

I don't don't watch many horror movies anym0re. My wife hates them. I liked them as a child but just don't watch them now. I watched when Friday the 13th was first out.

I remember when I was young, we watched one at a friends house. When it was over everyone needed to use the bathroom. I wasn't scared so I went upstairs to the bathroom. They had to wait in the hall. My buddies step mom flicked the lights on and off and then went screaming downstairs. LOL. I don't remember laughing as hard as I did that night.

I am not a big fan of horror movies. I just dont understand what people enjoy about being scared and having nightmares. Plus I like watching movies with my son and I dont want to show him anything too scary so we usually just watch funny animated films.

I love watching horror movies, but I don't really get scared from watching it. But I do get surprised or feel that jolt when the scene calls for it! But if the movie is based on a true story and it does have the tendency to happen in real life, just like exorcism and ghost movies, I tend to get scared when I watch it alone at night.

I love horror movies, if they are pretty decent. Even some of the low budget movies can be good. I haven't seen that many lately. In the last year I watched a few good lower budget horror movies and a couple from the big screen, and all were pretty good. I am also looking forward to the new season of The Walking Dead tv show. I'm almost done with season 2.

You might be surprised, but one of my favorites is House on Haunted Hill. Not the 1999 version, but the 1959 version. It's a classic, and it has quite a few twists and turns.

Yes, even low budget movies are quite good even if they don't have that much special effects. Some examples would be the Saw Series and Insidious. Saw even made it to 7 sequels before saying goodbye.

I can't watch those Saw movies, creepy. HaHa My fiance is friends with a girl that was in the first few of the Saw series. There definitely are some low budget movies that are great! Some even develop a cult following and do very well after some years. I never pass a movie by just because it didn't come out in theatres or whatever.

What is the name of the girl's character in Saw that is the friend of your fiance? Or if you don't know, then what's her real or screen name? I will look for her in the credits, since I have the DVD's from Saw 1 to 7. :) You should give Saw a try, it's not really scary per se but more like gory, but the story is engrossing. What budget scary movies are your favorite by the way?

I love these things, but only if there is a really good story or a great twist at the end...I don't enjoy blood and guts just for the sake of seeing gore. There needs to be a point...a beginning, a problem and a resolution, even if it leads to a sequel. And horror franshises need to know when stop. Saw should have stopped a few years ago and yet they keep going. And paranormal activity should have stopped at 1 movie. At least the Blair Wtich Project realized that one sequel was 1 too many. I am looking for more well done remakes...the Amityville Horror remake a few years ago was great.

Blair Witch was the worst movie I have ever watched. This is coming from someone who watched Ernest Scared Stupid. I went to the movie with about 7 friends and none of use liked it. There was some young girls in front of us and they were not even scared.

I like this kind of film, one of my favorite films of this genre is "Thir13en Ghosts". It is very sadistic ...

The Blairwitch Project was marketed as "true to life" when in reality it was still shot like a regular movie. They initially said that what you're gonna see in the movies is the lost video tape of the dead students that was found in Maryland. It turned out that they shot the whole thing. They lied just to generate hype and sales for that movie.

Horror movies, even as dull as they may seem, have always been pretty entertaining to me. I'll typically always watch one once.

I LOVE scary movies...not monster movies, but like serial killer movies...I don't watch many movies, (don't have the attention span) and nobody in my house likes scary movies...I don't like sequels or far fetched monster/blob/alien movies, but a good possesion, or murder movie is quite thrilling...I also like spicy food...:roflmao: Anything a bit exciting and out of the ordinary I guess? LOL!

Well I guess I fit right in here because I too love horror movies. I try to watch every one that I can when they come on TV or at the movies. Some I like so much I will watch them over and over.

I hate horror movies, they give me the creeps and cause me to have miserable nights. the only one I took a liking to was Child's Play, maybe because it was a bit funny.
