Actually is more to how many of you park your car head first as in you don't parallel park? For most of the time, I'll always go head first if there is sufficient space. I know that I'm not supposed to do that but sometimes there are too much traffic behind, it's not much of a choice.

Me and my mom aren't that good at parallet parking or parking in general for that matter lol. So when we get to park our cars without hitting anyone's car in the process we consider ourselves lucky, lol.

I know that some people like to call other people newbie when they don't parallel park. To me, as long as you get the car in nice and tidy you're already good at parking. Like me, I have no problem parallel parking but I just don't use it all the time.

I had to park a straight truck like the one below. The problem is, as you swing your rear in you have to watch out that you don't remove parking meters and when you get close to being in you can not see the car behind you. It hides behind the box.

I parallel park anytime I have to. If I don't need to then I won't.

Who drives into a parking spot? I don't unless I'm driving through to the next one. Other then that I back in. I know what is in the parking spot and there is still things that can get in your way (people for one) but it changes less then the road or parking lot does. So it is much safer to back in and then drive out.

I'd be lucky if I can drive that truck you drove lol. I wouldn't dream of parking with that truck unless I've had substantial training and experience in handling such heavy vehicles.

If are in Seattle and looking to park somewhere you'll park where you can find it. Even if you pay for parking in a closed lot it is still difficult because a lot of places are full. Seattle has some places where you have to back into the parking spot in which your already on a hillside.

My dad always likes to back into spots, I hate doing that because I'm always worried I'm gonna hit something. I am rather terrible at parallel parking, partly because I am usually in a hurry and hate tying up traffic while I keep pulling in and out of the spot trying to get my car situated.

What do you mean by parking "head first"? Are you parking perpendicular to all the other cars in the spots? You're lucky you don't get hit doing that.

Thanks :) I always try to park as well as possible, but sometimes is almost impossible. I prefer not to park in a street, I rather look for a parking lot :) Plus is safer!

Straight in best I can! Luckily I have a tiny car and it's pretty easy to get a place to park.

Ha, the sole reason why I prefer compact cars to big cars is the convenience in parking. The parking spaces are so tight here that most of the time cars like the Honda City can't fit but not with my tiny car.

He means he drives into the spot rather then back in if the space allows it. In right spits you need to parallel park to get into it unless you have something that can drive up on the curb.

The City must be the Civic here. That is still a small car.

i always park head first. But from the information i got here today i may consider parking back first so that it is easy for me to drive out when the need arises.

I always prefer to park tail first although it is not always convenient to do so. Parking tail first makes it much easier when I'm ready to go, especially if I am somewhere where there is a lot of vehicles going by.

I rarely parallel park. I think I have only done it once in my 10 years of driving. Just once during my driving test, which was easy because the instructor actually guided me through it cause she could tell I had the concept. I believe I can still parallel park, but choose not to if I have a choice.

I learned how to parallel park with orange cones in the drive way. I eventually practice in a parking lot, but not much. To be honest I learn how to drive and parallel park by playing video games. Instead of actually playing the games I would actually drive the car like an obstacle course. It really works!!!!

I parallel park every day. I go to a tiny college and all the parking spots are on a fairly steep hill. My little Celica can fit into almost any spot, but every time I have to parallel park on the hill I can just feel my clutch's lifespan dropping.
