I had just seen him in some show I was watching online, and was surprised to see how much weight he had lost. He looked like he was in really good health in the video, and I had wondered where he was all these years. Sad to hear of his passing. It would have been nice to see the gang do one more reunion.

I was going to post this yesterday but I forgot. I posted it on facebook. One report said he was 65. The other was about 68-69. That is young today. Its sad. People said he was a great guy. Hi character on the show was great. Funny but also would give the life lessons.

Pretty sad to hear, along with all other well known celebrity deaths. Had a really good character on the show and don't think any other person could play that role as well as him.

It's 65, the initial reports made a mistake citing that he was 68. Anyway, I only remembered him as Uncle Phil and didn't really know about his other work. Loved the show, he and Will Smith were brilliant and fun to watch. RIP Uncle Phil.

No wonder I didn't know the guy, I haven't watched the show he was on. I did try before when I stumbled upon it, but after a few minutes of watching it I didn't get interested in it. Anyway, my condolences to him and his family.

Yeah, I read about this on Yahoo the other day. It's such a pity he is gone! I used to watch that TV show when I was a kid! So many memories!!! I hope he had a peaceful death surrounded by all those people he loved and loved him back.

I've heard that there are re-runs of Fresh Prince on tv, anyone knows? It's been a long time since I've watched tv so I wouldn't know. Now that he is gone, I feel like wanting to watch the old show again.

Not here, they used to have re runs of this TV show over here, but not anymore. Not sure about the States, but back when I lived there they had the old ''nick at night'' and they aired a lot re runs of different TV shows, incluiding this one.

Very sad news. I actually did not find out about this until yesterday. I really don't keep up with celebrity news for the most part. Avery was a great actor and was very charismatic in his roles.
