    Yeah it would be expensive. Do you want just a big lifted truck or a full custom monster truck? If so a used one might be a good starting point. you would have rims/tires, axles, frame, engine and body. You could rebuild and replace what is needed.

    Yeah diesel prices can get out of hand. You could always search a public auction for a project truck.
