What tool brands do you buy the most?

Do you buy based on name brand, quality or price?

I buy Mastercraft the most. Its a brand by Canadian Tire. I get the mid or high end range of their tools. I won't pay for a cheap tool. If I'm worried about price I will wait till something good is on sale. I once waited 2 months because I had a budget for my shop and the only thing that fit that was a very cheap brand and I wasn't touching it. Its junk imo. So after 2 months of waiting a higher end set, with the tools I wanted in it, went on sale. That set gets used a lot even with the shop closed. It was a great investment.

I went with Craftsman, the brand from Sears. They have been making tools for so long, that I had to go with them. Not to mention, I believe they have some kind of lifetime warranty. I don't do anything near what you would do to a car, but I have tinkered with a few things in my day.

    Ahem, 100. :D

I like Craftsman tools. Mastercraft has a lifetime warranty as well. That is really important.

Congrats on the new bling. LOL

Craftsman is what my husband uses. He has a few Dewalt items, but they are mostly Craftsman.

I'm going to have to vote for Craftsman. Everything else is just a tool.

A very good tool brand are Snap-on they make amazing tools that are extremely strong and durable. OK they might not be the cheapest but you do get you money`s worth out of them.

Irwin makes a good line of hand tools- they are ergonomic and have a protouch grip which reduces fatigue. They are actually made for people who use tools a lot. Check Irwin out next time you are in the market for some new wrenches or pliers.
