I watched the entire Leafs vs Rangers game tonight and I can tell you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Leafs will not make the playoffs. The score was 5-2 Rangers but that is as deceiving as it can be, the game was never in doubt. Toronto managed to get extremely lucky and jump out to a 2-0 lead on their first three shots but after that they couldn't skate for the life of them.

Reimer kept them in the game but even he couldn't stop the constant swarming by the Rangers who eventually broke the floodgates and added an empty netter for good measure.

The Rangers weren't very good either, they made lots of mistakes, but they didn't need to be good against the hapless Leafs. I can't tell you how many times the Leafs just wouldn't skate with the puck, even when down 3-2 they kept turning around and going towards their own net or dumping it back and then lost the puck. When they did go forward it was really slowly with horrible slow passes that got intercepted more often than not.

Toronto had an early 2-0 lead and you STILL knew they would lose. Heck, Don Cherry himself said after the first intermission that they were winning two nothing on luck and might lose this one.

UUUUUGLLYYY! Don't spend a dime betting on the leafs this year, you've been warned.

Sorry Leafs fans, but it's that ugly in Toronto! I wouldn't even watch another game, let alone spend $395 to buy a ticket, horrible, horrible, horrible!

I'm surprised, are there no leafs fans in here willing to offer me an opinion in defense of the leafs? I'll admit it would take one pretty strong argument at this point but still.

They play tonight in Buffalo and I have $5 on Buffalo :)

My father, uncle, cousin, boss and so on are Leaf fans. I'm sure they would all have something to say about it.

I'm glad they are faithful, more people need to be in sports, but... they suck this year something aweful.

Think they'll turn it around in such a short season? At 3-3 it seems like they are decent but on the ice, if you watch the games, brutal is how you can best describe 55 minutes of most games so far.

    Go SENS!
