I hate when those cars drive through my block. My whole house shakes and I can't even fathom how you can enjoy that. They must have headaches 24/7. In the car I am usually listening to one of the radio stations in my area that went all talk. If nothing good is on the talk radio then I will just pop in a mix CD I made but my favorite song on that is Dead Wrong by Biggie and Eminem.

I hate those loud vehicles too, it seems to me like they have no consideration for the people peacefully chilling inside their homes. The ceiling and glasses in our house starts to shake a bit too when those cars pass by. If the windows are also open, you can be sure the riders want to attract attention. Anyway, I usually listen to RnB when I'm riding in our family car.

    Welcome to GearHead Central sidney!

I had a big system when I was younger. I would turn it down as I drove into a subdivision.

As far as headaches go, it would get rid of mine.

Thank you for the welcome Admin! Anyway, good thing you are able to listen to loud music inside a car, I can only tolerate the volume to a point where you can slightly hear it when you are standing beside the car. When the volume is loud enough to for 5 houses in a row to hear you, that is too much. :)

Your welcome. I had mine old system in a sound off and it hit 143.7 db. I had a mirror fall off before because of the heat and from the vibration. They told me they could hear me 5 minutes before I got to work. They were exaggerating, I'm sure it wasn't more then 4 minutes. :roflmao: It was loud. I want another system but I don't want to play it like that or even have one THAT loud. I know it can do a lot of damage.

Right now, in my car I'm listening to some old Pantera. I guess that's why I keep getting all these speeding tickets, ha!
I'm just kidding, but yeah, Pantera and Megadeth is what I'm listening to lately.

I think loud vehicles are more suitable for teens starting to drive that for people who simply want to enjoy some good music aboard.

I try to keep volume comfortable for my and my eventual companion, but also in a level that still allows me to hear what is happening around me, inside and out the car.

As for the music that I'm listening, I'm the kind of person who engages repetitively with a single song for some seasons; actually I'm only listening to SoftCell and this is the song, "Tainted Love."

I love a good system! Usually would listen to about anything that sounds good and has some nice bass. Right now I'm stuck listening to Country, which not all of is terrible, but good lord help me. :D

Whoa, good thing that you have your ears still intact as of this day! :p But did you notice that your hearing decreased nowadays as compared to before, or it's still just the same? Why don't you try using headphones or earphones? As for me that it's the one that i prefer, since I can turn it up real loud without anyone getting annoyed. :D Plus I enjoy hearing the little sounds in the song that you can only hear when you use a headphone or earphone.

There's nothing quite like driving with the top down and listening to "Running Down A Dream" by Tom Petty.

I'd like to share that listening to Freur's song "Doot Doot" and Paul Van Dyk's "Another Day" while you're riding or driving inside your car can be pretty relaxing. It puts you in a "trance like" state. ;)

Listening to some Red Hot Chili Peppers right now. Although they're no longer together, they will always be one of my favorite bands.

I am a sax jazz kind of a guy and as I write this I am listening to "Paul Hardcastle's" greatest hits. I also like Paul Horn and several others. I particularly enjoy listening to soft sax jazz for it's relaxing and thought provoking properties which aide me in my writing.

If the music is very loud it doesn't bother me much but too much bass makes it a little annoying for me. Right now I like listening to Take me to the King by Tamella Mann. There happens to be several version on You Tube but I prefer hers.

I'm not the kind of person who likes to listen to music while on the car. I just can't stand the nie, specially when driving. Nowadays I'm listening a lot folk music to be exact, only at home tho :)

I agree. It can be distracting to listen to music in the car especially if it's your fave music or it gets you hyper. It can distract your attention from the road.

I listen to metal and rock. I love that local radio program, since it always has good old music to listen to.
