I would choose money. A lot of stress can be caused by financial difficulties, and I would rather be alone and relaxed than with another and constantly struggling to make enough income.

Yeah I agree, there's nothing like being financially free and being able to buy what you want as compared to being in love but broke. Love is just a fleeting emotion that may fade after some time, leaving you with either pleasant or bad memories, while money leaves you stability and peace of mind.

And there is also that song from Cabaret with Joel Grey with the chorus Money makes the world
go around. Damn I was not always this materialistic and cynical. Well maybe I was.

I really haven't heard of those songs about money that were mentioned in this thread, so I guess I have to look for them on Youtube, especially now that I'm a bit pre-occupied with how to increase my income.

That's a good question, if you asked me this a year ago, I would say I'd choose love over money, however, nowadays, I'd choose money over love, money can buy happiness, it buys anything you need to keep yourself occupied, including but not limited to money for your hobbies, girls, games, beer, etc. So yeah, I'd choose money over love for now, you never know, one day you'll wake up & decide love is more important than money.

Yeah, we all know that viewpoints and opinions can definitely change, but like you I will also choose money right now, and with that choice you can do whatever you want and date even lavishly whenever you want. I think being broke doesn't really allow you to date, unless you have a thick skin and you don't mind that the other person spends for everything, lol.

I would choose love over money. Happiness isn't being financially free, pure happiness comes from to love and be loved. I also have financial problems but I always stay happy despite of it. I never measured happiness having lots of money but I measured happiness based on the love that I received from other people or by someone special to me. Financial problems is very common nowadays to every individual and I don't think that you can find happiness having lots of money. I love to have lots of money but I never think of it as my happiness if I have those. In the end, you will still find someone that will love you for a lifetime because it's hard to be alone in this world without being cared and love by someone.

Money. It makes doing what you want to accomplish in life so much easier and smoother. Love is not really all it's cracked up to be. It's overrated actually.

Sorry to disagree, I think you're being too idealistic. You probably haven't experienced being anxious when you need to pay for something and you don't know where in the world will yet get that money. When you have experienced serious, not mild financial problems, love is nothing compared to money.

But love can motivate you to get money, cause if you love someone you would want to provide for them and take care of them.

Yeah you got a point, maybe you can acquire money, but it's not a large amount. It can't change and drastically improve your lifestyle.

Difficult question, and I honestly have thought about this question many times. I would pick Love though, who wants money if you cant enjoy it with someone else? If i have money, I'm going to want to spend it on someone else too!

But sometimes the problems and stress you face is meant to better your character and learn patience and humility. Also sometimes people have money and no character so they still end up unhappy and they still end up spending all the money on useless stuff to bring them back to poverty.

I would choose love of course. What good is money without love? I couldn't live my life without love but if I HAD to I could live without money, then again that's just my choice though.

I already have love in my life, if I picked money... would that imply I'd suddenly find myself loveless again? If so, then I'd pick my current love, but if we were talking about someone else I haven't even met yet, then there is no doubt I'd take the cash. Right now I'm struggling very bad to pay my bills! Some money would help me a lot right now. I don't think I'm the only one over here that thinks this way :p

Well, let's put it this way, if I was in a relationship that was going great and then things started getting bad, financially, I would stay in it but if it was otherwise I would definitely choose money. Money buys much more than love so when bills and other things are to be taken care of love won't do.

I hear ya, Rosa. LOL. If I had to pick between money and love... I'd pick money, since money will never hurt you and can change for life for good. Plus money won't argue with you every chance it gets, instead it will make you happy one way or another ;)

I would choose love. I would love money though but I prefer happiness from within. Plus, more money more problems. I've never had a lot of money and was okay with it so I would choose to continue that.

Why can't someone just let me choose both, i mean a little bit here and a little bit there and my world would be in superb motion, i don't even know what i 'd choose and leave the other, i mean, come on, am in need of both;)
