Woah, that sounds like a really bad accident! I think you brother was extremely lucky! I'm glad he made it out with just a few scratches, because that accident sounds like a really bad one. That van must have been like a tank to survive something like that :p Glad for you guys! And lol, you're not the only one! When I started driving I got very nervious as well, I also forgot how to get home the first time. I thought I was the only one!

The first car I drove was an older version to the one I currently own. It was a 1989 Daihatsu Cuore power by a meager 660 cc 3-banger, wasn't the most powerful, comfortable or reliable car but it did do a good job of teaching me a lot about cars and how to operate them.

Is the current car any good then? :) Because for the way you describe the old version, one might think you weren't quite happy with the old version. But you own a more current version, so that makes me think you actually like this car :hungry:

My current car is okay, I am spending the time to build it up how I want it. Not really pleased with the condition of the body to be honest but I am really focused on upgrading the engine and collecting parts until I can find a body in a better condition to transfer it all over to.

Well, your brother was really lucky if the van rolled three times, he could have been seriously hurt. Sometimes I have the feeling someone is keeping an eye on us. ;)

Oh my!! I have my share of accidents. My car overturned with me in February and landed on the top. I was driving home alone from work, and luckily my window was down, so I was able to climb out. I had a cut and bruised right arm for about 2 weeks, but apart from that, I was A okay! I give God thanks for sparing my life everyday!!

The car I ever drove was a Nissan passant car. It was an old model and honestly I didn't like it because it was a manual car and I preferred an automatic car which to me is easier to drive.

It's the second time I'm hearing about that car. Can you post a pic of it if you have one, or give a little detail about it?

My first drive was in a rented Chrysler 300. I'm not entirely sure how I actually was able to see over the dashboard, but I managed to get around the block without hitting any mailboxes. I actually learned to drive in a Volvo station wagon, but my first driving experience was in the Chrysler. I've never driven one since.

The first car I drove was a Fiat Punto, though my driving school vehicle was a 2008 Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDI. (Better car of the school, others used Toyota Yaris, hahaha)

The first car I drove was an old Dodge Avenger. It was so long ago that i'm not quite sure what year it was but i'm guessing it must have been about 1987. It was a stick shift and I got to practice driving it around the neighbourhood before getting a licensed instructor.

The first car I drove was a car owned by my brother. I just got my license so I didn't have a car of my own. It was a stick gear, very compact and easy to handle.

That's a nice car to start with :) I'd never dare to start with my sis' car tho :p Mostly because I'd be very nervous of denting it or something like that - my sis would kill me. Glad it turned out great for you tho.

The first car I drove was an old 2.0 litre '89 Mercedes 230, automatic, my friends and myself called her 'old lady'. That was an awesome car man, but heavy on the juice and the interiors were a bit worse for ware but I loved that car and I still miss it every day.

Wow really? Why did you decide to get rid of it? Was it something you hand't planned or something like that?

Well I got it second hand and it was in a bad condition and one day I was driving along and she just died on me, turns out the engine was in a sorry state and this was like 3 months after I started driving her and it would have cost me a small fortune to fix it, unforunately I did not have the money at the time and I got taken for a ride by a backwater mechanic who actually tried to steal the original merc hubcaps I had on. So after another 3 months of having to pay for storage at a local dealership I gave her to my friend and said if he could fix her up, he could have her. I moved to another town after so I have no idea what happened to her.

Thanks, I was a little clumsy at first and stalled because I was nervous. Just like you, my brother would have killed me if something went wrong. Lucky for me, my father was there to supervise me when I first drove it.

Hehehe! Good for you :) but didn't you need to keep on driving that car until you got a liscebce? My mom told me I should be willing to drive as often as possible if I wanted to keep my driving skills as sharp as usual.
