I don't know rosa, I've seen way to many reports of coffins being opened and being scratched from the inside, so how do you explain that? I wouldn't like that either, I just wish my ashes go back to nature where they started with, no art with my ashes please.

Cremate me please. Then I would see if my daughter would go for the idea of compressing the ashes into a diamond that she could put on a ring and wear. There are companies that do that. If she doesn't, then I'll be scattered over the Swiss Alps.

I know what you mean about coffins being scratched from inside. Back here they have grave robbers. Recently they desecrated the graves of a young brother and sister taking their skull and limbs. Everyone was so upset about it , not to mention the mother's devastation.

@rosa, and what would they do with their skull and limbs? Can they still make money off of it?

Can they make money from that practice? I can't say but rumor has it that it might have been used in evil practice as a means of contact in order to achieve wealth and so on.

Hmm, I have never thought about this one before. I guess I would rather be cremated so I can spare my family thousands of dollars for the cost of a standard burial. There is no use in my family spending 7,000 dollars to bury a dead guy.

I say the same thing too. After all it's just the body that's lying there, the soul is elsewhere. Too often family members spend all they have and even borrow to give their loved ones a good burial and then down the road they are struggling to make ends meet or still owing big debt.

I've never really put much thought into whether I would want to be buried or cremated. I guess, whatever my family feels is most appropriate for me would probably be the best option.

@rosa, are you from a Latin country? I heard that that kind of voodoo practice is popular in those countries.

Yeah, the Swedish version was a bit slow, but it was the original ;)

Have you ever watched the milenium trilogy? I found the first film to be intense! The others not so much. It's a Swedish trilogy, not bad at all. Most Swedish thrillers are ok, but never bother with the Norwegian ones. They suuuuuuuck badly!!!!!

As for that film... Well, he could posses James because he was out doibg the astral traveling. Quite scary! I hated the fact that scary old lady was a dude.... Not scary at all, lol.

No Sidney, I am from the Caribbean Island of Jamaica. Witchcraft and obeah was once prominent here but not so much now since the younger generation is more civilized. I have no proof of these things still been practiced and if so it would be in rural areas away from the spotlight.

@Trellum, I don't really watch foreign films unless they get really popular, lol like Shutter or Let Me In. Is Millennium a horror film too? Yeah that drag queen angle was kinda lame, lol. Have you tried watching the English version though? The movie in general and the acting was better than the Swedish version.

@rosa, I'm sure in the rural areas or provinces that is still practiced. Over here even with the modern times, witchcraft is still very much alive in remote areas.

Mine will be an unpopular opinion, but in my opinion the whole burial and coffin tradition seems weird (and I'm from a country where hardly anyone gets cremated). I mean they dress the dead body in a fancy suit or a dress, apply makeup so the body looks almost alive and then get a fancy wooden coffin just to bury it. It's not like the dead care about any of this and this definitely won't bring them back.

I def want to get cremated simply because it'll be less of a burden, both emotionally and financially, for my family.

@ Sidney, I can agree to that because these movements will set up a congregation but do what they do in secrets. Also, if the practice was obsolete there would be less young people testifying about it.

Yeah, I watched it a while ago! I liked the english version, but I agree with you, the acting in the swedish version was kinda dry... for me wasn't so bad because I lived in Norway for a while. So I'm used to the dry acting there :roflmao:, lol. No, it's like a thriller, but you might not like it... it has some really intense moments tho.. too intense for a Swedish film. But that trilogy isn't for everyone. It didn't last long in the cinemas over here for that reason hehehe!

@rosa, do they make a business out if it too? Over here they do, you just pay them and they do what you want them to do. Even Michael Jackson believes in voodoo too, I read that he tried to bathe in blood, lol

@Trellum, see? The American version was waayy better than the original one. Don't you think that the acting was moving? If all films in Norway are like that, then I don't want to watch any of it! So dry and even the soundtrack or background sounds are lacking! I will fall asleep watching that!

Oh sure, Sidney. Silly people will pay them a lot of money to get their problems solved. In the end most of them find that they have only lost their money because things don't get better for them while others claim to get good results and keep going back.

LOL, norwegian soap operas and movies are WAAAY worse. Actually Swedish films aren't that bad, but don't expect good soap operas in either of those countries, they just can't produce good soap operas, heck no! I had such a hard time watching TV there... local TV shows in Norway SUCK SO BADLY!

@rosa yeah I think the results vary, so it must have a money back guarantee if it didn't work, right? But depending on the person, some charge cheaply for their services.

@Trellum, They suck in terms of acting and cinematography, right? I think Mexican soaps are ok but sometimes what I don't like are the scenes where the actor is just emoting and no dialogues are being said, and it gets boring! (Tagalog soaps and movies are like that, I think we got it from the Mexican peeps, lol) You know, like they stare at the window looking sad or crying? In American films there is none of that! That's why I love American films, the movies are fast paced and straight to the point, no melodramatic scenes!

Hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooooooo true, lol..... Ugh, or when something awful happens and they cry under the veil of night... moon is shinning... lol. Ugh... Don't get me wrong, I hate Mexican soap operas.... because the new ones are nothing like the old ones we have back in the 80's and 90's. I liked those, but the new ones.... ugh no new ideas and the acting is ridiculously fake, exaggerated and just plain bad! But... they're faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar more entertaining that the dry Norwegian soap operas where nothing ever happens, lol.
