I got cruised at Barnes & Noble several times before I knew what was going on. I had no idea it was common for some older gay men to hang out there and make passes at other guys to go follow them into the bathrooms. There was a hand signal, basically they would walk up and run their finger down the palm of your hand to say they were interested. I don't think it's as common with the younger generations of gay guys these days, since people tend to be more out and open than they were years ago.

Also, one of my bosses at a previous job, got fired for sexual harassment. She was always making remarks towards me and a few other guys there. I blew it off whenever she would say stuff, but one of the other guys there went to HR over it and they terminated her. One time, for example, she asked me to pick up a reel of paper for her and while I bent over to get it, my head was near her waist and she was like "while you're down there...". Plus her and her creepy husband were always trying to get me to to the casinos with them. They were like 25 years older than me at the time.

@Trellum, did you also tell that to your mom? Or you kept that part where he was interested to yourself?

I don't remember the last time I actually got unwanted attention. Yes, I know, poor me! I'm fine with it though, I'm in a very fulfilling relationship and have kids so attention is the last thing on my mind, especially from a stranger. Years ago, many years ago, back when I was a teen or in my early 20's, I got too much attention so I understand where you are coming from. I would say enjoy it, even though it might seem aggravating now, you might actually miss it in the long run!!

About my boss? Yeah, I hinted that to her, but it seems she knew as much as I did, lol, because the other day she told me she thinks my boss was such a jerk because I didn't follow along and slept with him. I was like: what ?

@Trellum, how old was your former boss? Is he old enough to be your dad? If he was, then that's creepy indeed! The older the guy, the more creepier. I saw on our local news a 70+ man who bought a little girl to his home, I think she's a neighbor and he started molesting her. Good thing a vigilant neighbor followed them when she saw the man walking home with the kid, because it's suspicious.

Yikes, no! My former boos was around my age, maybe one or 2 years younger. But the guy at the mall was quite old... around 55+ That was quite creepy! Glad to hear the kid is ok. I was molested by an old guy when I was little, that taught me not to trust my kids to no one and talk openly about ''proper and improper'' touch. Very important to teach our kids not to get into the house of a stranger or even talk to one.

Oh I have a lot of "molest horror stories" as well, it started when I was in pre-school and it happened occasionally until I was in my late teens. Good thing it has lessened now that I'm already an adult.

It is not a surprise to me when I get such attention; what I do is point them to the best thing they could ever have in life. And at the end of the day they will be glad they met someone like me.
