I'm afraid I have to disagree on that point. I live in Southeast Asia and most of the new phones here DO include TV. In fact over here almost any phone you choose with the exception of the most basic ones have TV included in their features. The phone shops over here have almost every brand name cell phone ever made and the majority of them do include TV and Radio. What is more surprising is that phones with TV cost virtually the same as the phone without it. The prices are very reasonable as well.:)

Really? I guess it depends on the country, brand and model. I'm from South East Asia too, and the only brands here that sell phones with tv are Myphone and Cherry Mobile, which are both low end brands. I haven't seen an expensive brand yet that is being marketed as "tv capable".

Truthfully, I prefer a notebook and pen, slightly archaic but proven to be quite reliable

LOL. But look at how environmentally friendly it is. Scores pretty low when it comes to portability though. You have to take the good with the bad.

Ooops! I was reviewing some of my old posts here and noticed this topic was about lap tops or electronic tablets. To answer the question I prefer a full feature note book (lap top) over a tablet. With my shortness of memory these days it would be just my luck to leave the tablet somewhere and forget where. In my current physical state I do not even begin to think of taking my note book (lap top) off my desk.

Hmm. It really depends on what you're using it for. I'd prefer a tablet. My laptop does all the things a netbook can do and more. But I like my tablet because I use it as an ereader...its a great size and I can also listen to audiobooks on it.

Yeah, you got a point there. But the good thing about it is that what you carve in there stays forever, unless something destroys the cave to pieces. :D

I guess I'm a bit old fashion in that I prefer to do my computing at home in the comfort of my own little office area.
If I am out and about and need to make a note of something important I use my cellphone to jot down the subject and then research it on my laptop when I get home.:)

It really depends on what I am doing. Let's say I am waiting for someone in a car, I would rather have a tablet. I would probably watch videos and such. When I am working while at a cafe or at work, I would rather have a netbook. I like a keyboard. I am not yet comfortable with a touch screen keyboard. Good question!

Welcome to the gang. I know how you feel about the touch screen. I have a phone with it and it seems like it took forever for me to learn just what the right touch was on the thing. I'll stick to my push button cell phone and my computer mouse "mouse" (squeek, squeek).:)

I'd prefer a tablet, because I already own a laptop. Plus, I travel quite a bit, so the convenience of having something very portable to watch movies on really appeals to me.. Plus I can play games and have fun with apps on a long journey! Haha. I'd go for a tablet personally, more specifically an iPad.

I've taken a small 10" netbook with me on travels, and find it very easy to slip into a daypack, which I also use as a carry-on for flights. That said, I now have an iPad that meets all my needs when traveling. It's great for emails and light web surfing, you can use it to download photos through a small attachment, and back up your data through iCloud. The charger is very small, and can also be used to recharge an iPhone. Since it doesn't have a conventional keyboard, it is less prone to damage from liquid spills, and with a good protective case (there are many on the market) you shouldn't have to worry about damaging the glass surface.

Since I do not do much traveling any longer I prefer my laptop to a tablet or note pad. In addition to that with the limited function of my hands I'm afraid a notepad or some similar device would not be long for this world if I had one.:)

I would probably prefer a tablet. I've honestly had it with laptops - they annoy me. First off, I cannot stand Wi-Fi. I recently disabled Wi-Fi in my home as it was giving me really serious headaches. I've never had that particular headache after disabling Wi-Fi broadcast on the router. Laptops also tend to over-heat quite often and this is also quite a big problem since I use a computer very often. I've never owned a tablet, but they look pretty cool.

I have a tablet, and I find it good in some situations, like checking emails, internet browsing and portability, but it's not as good as a laptop or a desktop when it comes to battery, sound quality and keyboards. Netbooks are pointless, they are hopelessly slow and unreliable.
