You are a woman, so possibly you are gifted for the kitchen! :D It is rather frustrating to spend a couple of hours on the kitchen and in the end the flavour sucks... :( It has happened to me one or two times...

I suppose not, otherwise I wouldn't be needing to lose some weight. Honestly, it's mainly from drinking though since I do usually cook for myself. I love to cook, so I have no problem preparing healthier meals from scratch. But I do have a bad habit on snacking throughout the day constantly. Especially when I am working from home.

My eating habits have been very bad. I really love sweets and other junk I should not have. I recently joined weight watchers which is helping me to eat better. I am not trying to make sure I eat a fruit or vegetable with every meal. I am also making sure I get in at least 6-8 glasses of water a day. In addition of trying to eat better, I am also trying to exercise at least every other day.

I think you just need some practice :) When I just started cooking I was the author of a lot HORRIBLE kitchen disasters! Seriously, even now, I still make a lot mistakes when I cook something new. Sometimes I think I should write all my recipes in a notebook or something like that, just to remember the exact ingredients I used.

This was in my early cooking days, now I am more experienced, I only cook 5 or 6 dishes that I know how to, so I rarely get a surprise. Surprises aren't good when you have 2 little mouths to feed. :)

I usually eat healthy stuffs like veges, fruits and no pork. So I think when it comes to food, I am taking healthy ones, but my very bad habit is skipping meals, Since I have load of works, I often forget to take meals at the right time. Bad result? I got ulcer.

So I think, aside from concerning what we eat, we should really give importance as well on how and when we should eat.

Why don't you take the food with you for the cases in which you don't have time to eat Sheryl? Either cases, one should always have time to eat...

Yeah, my mistake :-( The bad thing about me is, when I have so much things to do, I do sit there in front of PC with coffee and can not stop until my work is finished, until meal time passed by. But since I got sick I got more concious about that.

When you eat healthy, you are the one that is more advantaged because your eating healthy will keep you fit and strong. It is important that you plan your meals. Have a timetable where you have various meals outlined. It is in the course of planning that you are able to choose healthy meals to include in your timetable.

    Empty stomach + coffee = ulcer... :(

Sometimes we do need to get sick to open our eyes to our body's basic needs. :) I should improve what I eat as well, but I never recall skipping a meal.

Oh that very bad :( I have actually heard you can put on weight if you do that, specially if you skip breakfast. But I totally understand where you come from, I mean, sometimes there is no time and you just need to skip a meal or two. But if I were you, I'd start planning my meals a but more, I plan my meals weekly :) I have very light breakfasts and dinners, so I only have to worry about lunch ;)

Breakfast has to be one of the worse meals to miss.

I'm absolutely convinced that I don't have any healthy eating habit and I don't care :D

If I have to choose between a healthy dish of vegetables with low fat cheese and a juicy rare Angus steak with Worcestershire and butter, bet I would go for the steak.

I eat to satisfy my taste, not my health, and the only time when I do a exception is when I feel it's time to eat fruits, vegetables and so on.

It's like if my body would know what is the limit for unhealthy eating and when it needs healthy food. It's all about to understand how your body works and what it needs when it needs it.

Sad to say, I'm not a healthy eater. My diet consists of mostly starch, meat, and some greens with the occasional fruits. Hard to eat healthy when I'm struggling to meet ends meet. I'll whatever food I can get cheapest.

In my case eating healthy happens in spurts, but then I realize that even the junk I eat is taken care of by my body. It is as if my metabolism raises or lowers itself, to adapt to the things I eat.

So, that way I am blessed.

I used to think the same way, Oivas. But the saying ''you are what you eat'' is very true, believe me. It took me a while to learn this the hard way, but I did! Eventually our bad habits catch up with us, believe me.

I do have a healthy eating habit. I had hypertension and other illnesses and did not like to be on medication and so I decided to do something about it. Making healthier choices has really been paying off for me. My biggest obstacle was pastry and I have managed to control my intake. I exercise and drink plenty water and eat fruits and vegetable. I also stay away from rice, pasta and fried foods.

I've just started my cut, so my eating habits are very healthy. I just got out of a very dirty bulk, so I'm happy to be eating healthily again. I'm planning on starting intermittent fasting in a week to try it out.
